Wanted to make this a separate thread to make it obvious.

I didn't know this until I saw it mentioned it somewhere else today. Fox are showing the walking dead at 2.30 am!

I won't manage to watch it - I'm 7 months pregnant and my 3 year old isn't sleeping well but if you were able, it would be cool.

I'd be giving Negan a Lucille enema. He has to sleep sometime right? Plus all those lovely drugs in the doctor's? The Saviours are like a pack of dogs. Take the leader out it's likely they'll follow the victor (I'm investing far too much thought into this aren't I?).

FoxesOnSocks · 09/11/2016 17:59

So confused there for a moment, I was reading Alexander technique as if it were Alexandria technique and was trying to think of what was so great there for posture.

Confused
yumyumpoppycat · 09/11/2016 22:26

Right negan I want you to imagine there is a piece of string attached to your head with a beautiful red baloon tied to it....

Well I've just caught up, ds1 has wanted me to watch for the last couple of years, so I've binged watched 6 seasons + to finally get to watch with him.

Ds has a photo shoot booked with Negan at walker stalker next year, he doesn't know this yet as it's a surprise christmas present.

TheDrsDocMartens · 10/11/2016 04:36

Wow, great present!

There's a great video on you tube Walking Dead the sitcom , worth a watch!

crystalballbroke · 10/11/2016 11:47

Thanks TheDrs, he will be really happy. As they sold out so quickly.

Bigfam · 10/11/2016 14:19

I'd love to meet negan obviously for a different reason than your ds crystalballbroke He is bloody gorgeous even if he is old enough to be my grandad Grin

DesolateWaist · 12/11/2016 08:58

Am I alone in finding this series just to dark and uncomfortable to watch. I'm not really enjoying it any more.

MargotLovedTom · 12/11/2016 09:04

I'm feeling the same DesolateWaist - the group are fragmented; there's so many new people to get to know, and so much death and despair, along with the loss of old friends. I'm missing the camaraderie, and will miss Abe's one-liners for a bit of light relief.

FoxesOnSocks · 12/11/2016 09:10

DesolateWaist im also with you. It's just too tense, that horrible tension of an unpredictable bully gives. No light relief (maybe the tiger)

It's also more gory (in a shock value way) and the walkers have more puss. Which makes it visually more grim.

HatePaperDoll · 12/11/2016 10:41

The show has always been dark and violent. Terminus and the Governor story lines were as bad as the Negan one. And the season that they all ended up at terminus was a fragmented group throughout after the prison was attacked. I don't see that this season is much different at all. The Kingdom episode was positively comedic by TWD standards.

BeyondReasonablyDoubts · 12/11/2016 10:54

I agree, hate. I'm really not seeing what the fuss re this season or the opening episode (violence wise) is about

TheDrsDocMartens · 12/11/2016 11:00

Terminus throat slitting was one of the worst for me.
Currently re watching from the start. Getting towards the end of the governer , you see carl become a killer

HatePaperDoll · 12/11/2016 11:41

I thought that scene was worse too, TheDrs. But I guess because we didn't see any well loved characters have their throat slit it had less impact on some.

And if we're talking dark and disturbing...the Lizzie storyline must rate right up there. It does for me anyway.

DesolateWaist · 12/11/2016 13:27

I think that my problem is that it has become less about post apocalyptic zombie avoidance and much more about a bunch of cunty men being cunty to each other.
I stopped reading the comic for the same reason.
Yes time has gone on and cunty men would be the ones holding positions of power I guess but it just seems too bleak now.

iklboo · 12/11/2016 14:42

Desolate - I'm now picturing Jim Howick from Horrible Histories, dressed as Daryl, shouting 'Hi! I'm a cunty man!' Grin

Agree the walkers are now getting a bit 'oh, and along came some zombies' when they need some added peril, but there's always some Deux Ex Machina that saves the protagonist (I'm looking at you dumpster).

TheDrsDocMartens · 12/11/2016 15:07

Lizzie is creepy from the start of their bit. Just watching now

HatePaperDoll · 12/11/2016 17:30

But is that not the point? That the dead aren't the greatest threat in this world in this post ZA world, other people are?

DesolateWaist · 12/11/2016 17:35

Well yes Hate but surely we can have more than just cunty men.
The Governor - cunty man
Terminus - cunty men
Negan - cunty man

My guessing is that next they'll find somewhere that seems ok on the surface only to find that it's run by a cunty man who is determined to eat/fuck/kill everyone he doesn't like.

CaptainBrickbeard · 12/11/2016 17:45

I just can't be arsed if Rick goes all silent and unreachable again as he did post-Lori (and really, her death was a hideous and cruel as anything in Season 7 and I nearly stopped watching in protest then). It just got boring after a while. I want to see him hold his children and provide comfort and not just be a shaking mess (which obviously he has every right to be - everyone would be extremely messed up by now). If Monday night features him walking around like a stunned mullet I will get really bored. I know they're broken but I need to see some rallying spirit - watching a bunch of traumatised husks won't provide much in the way of entertainment. So I'm hoping for a bit of a rousing episode (very rousing if Daryl gets a shower at any point...) with a bit of gumption though clearly they're in no shape to fight Negan yet.

Bigfam · 12/11/2016 18:23

Negan turns up at Alexandria with Daryl in tow.
I'd also rather Rick didn't have an epic meltdown again either, I found that really annoying.

HugoBear · 12/11/2016 19:35

Negan - camp and unconvincing.

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 12/11/2016 20:55

Negan likes the sound of his own voice. God he's boring. Someone kill him already.
