The walking dead is on at 2.30am on Fox!!!

Wanted to make this a separate thread to make it obvious.

I didn't know this until I saw it mentioned it somewhere else today. Fox are showing the walking dead at 2.30 am!

I won't manage to watch it - I'm 7 months pregnant and my 3 year old isn't sleeping well but if you were able, it would be cool.

I think dixie is right with the prisoners in the yard its like a process - first they have to be kept in a cell until they are tortured to the point they wont rebel against negan (reverse of the open door cell rehabilittion that morgan had), then they have to show they aren't so traumatised that they will be a burden by getting through some kind of zombie obstacle course. It's a more extreme version of Rick's checklist where he asks new people they might be able to provide a home for how many walkers they have killed etc.

Another tough episode! Admire Daryl but also want to tell him to go long with it all as that is the only way he could escape. Think Dwight and his wife will eventually side with Daryl in escaping. They haven't been brainwashed in the way that Neagan thinks. Daryl needs to play the long game now.

I bloody hate Negan! He is such a bully with all that referring to Lucille business, somebody just kill him! When Daryl and Dwight were in the room with him I was thinking they could both take him, Dwight absolutely loathes him but it's like a cult.

Don't understand what the walkers in the yard are for?

Sad scene with Dwight and wife in the corridor smoking where they are both utterly lying about their lives.

Why didn't Daryl just say what they want to hear and then can eventually earn their trust, either escape back to his own group or kill Negan?! Play the long game!

Think walkers in the yard are for training/continued torment of phase 2 recruits but also a visible reminder to everyone there to be loyal to negan, get their little kitchenette and delicious sandwiches as that dog food sandwiches and walkers are their fate on the outside.

Daryl has no one there in immediate vicinity to lie for like Dwight does, and as far as he knows his group (the only people he would fight for) are broken and following orders. He has nothing to lie for. Plus is probably feeling rather guilty that his fighting last time directly caused Glenn's death.

Walkers wise, was the last one the man who ran off? I wonder if Negan is keeping people who betray him there as walkers so their torment lasts forever and they don't get "mercied" (z nation crossover )

Beyond you are right it was the man that ran away, I was surprised he was brought back shot as Dwight did that with a touch of mercy/rebellion but didnt even walkers in yard might ALL be Negan betrayers. That is seriously creepy, bit like in tudor times sticking chopped off heads on poles and displaying them as a warning for everyone

I've just spent the past week binge watching from season 1 and am now caught up! My Daryl 😭

Yo science how did you have time to sleep I wish I had been slower (2 weeks) watching them, but al least we can join in the chat now!

I basically just really failed at parenting for a week 😂 My toddler was poorly though and spent most of that week asleep so I was watching almost a season a day!

Having that song on the loop would have finished me off long ago. Go Daryl. Have to say though Dwight looks like a zombie already without having to transform!

snorts at making darryl wash.... his hair is pretty greasy, looked totally different is series 1. Maybe he is the only actor totally immersing himself in what it would be like to live in a zombie apocalypse.

Even on the Talking Dead programme a couple of weeks ago with all the cast who looked super clean and wonderful Norman still looked really greasy - talk about staying in character!

I suppose Daryl has no clue if his mates are still alive even so where is the incentive...but still, I found it frustrating him having his principles!

I'm annoyed by the Daryl storyline right now. His defiance at negan got Glenn killed...surely his continued defiance is likely to get more of Rick's crew killed?

I might make Easy Street my new alarm tone on my phone just to freak DH out when the alarm goes off 😂
