I hope someone cooks swan for Tudor week. And blackbird pie.

Would love to see Paul and Mary get their choppers around that.

The Tudor kitchens at Hampton Court Palace are a wonder to behold. I bought a gift jar of almonds seeped in honey and spices when I was there many years ago they lasted all of 3 hours

I am still amazed how many under or over cook stuff :(

As I'm new to gbbo. Do they ever make savoury stuff. Pies or quiches or something like that

All seems to be sweet stuff

I think you need to watch it on YouTube within about 24 hours or it will be gone. We were in Internet Purgatory this weekend (it's Thanksgiving here so bank holiday so chance to go up north to the lake) so I missed Extra Slice and now it is nowhere to be found

Could anyone tell me the date the final will be shown please? I thought there were ten episodes but BBC says eleven. I want to invite people over to watch but don't want to get the wrong week!!!

The ep thing is confusing. Def quarters then semis this week and next but maybe they are doing a farewell show? You could ask the Beeb or tweet Perkins etc to see if you can find out but you might just have to wait until next week to find out.

Please report back about the date for the final! I too have planned a soirée for 2nd November, based on the 11 episodes stated by the Beeb. But yes that can't be right, argh!

Final should be 26th Oct. Episode on 2nd Nov probably catching up with last year's bakers, that's what they've done in previous years.
