Delurking as I can't bear the tension of waiting!
I think last night's episode was brilliant. I was really enthralled for the first time this series.
I thought that the nurse was a figment of Spector's imagination for ages as no one else ever seemed to acknowledge her.
Agree with a PP about feeling very disconcerted at my compassion for a killer. The childhood stuff is heartrending. As a traumatised child I also would long to live in the brief glimpses of warm and cosy homes that I saw occasionally.
Has anyone else had the thought that the 8yr old PB killed his mother? He said they shared a bed more after Baldwin left so could he have strangled her in her sleep?
He talks about how his mother told him Baldwin wasn't his father on his birthday. He says bitterly 'That was her birthday gift to me. 10 days later she was dead.' He later says 'My last memory of her is that she was very angry with me. For something. I don't know what'.
If I recall correctly he would initially grab hold of his victims while they were sleeping in their beds?
I went back to S3 ep1 today to recap on something and the first words of the episode are being sung- 'Mama, bring me my walking cane. I said Mama, bring me my walking cane. I'm leaving on that midnight train.' Spector is driving in the tunnel, crashes, and then later he hears his mother? calling him towards the light. I thought it was the nurse's voice!
Sorry, I just sem to be rambling now.
I do think the other patient, Mark?, will be involved in PS's death.
Ah that rambling's killed 30 minutes, only 22 to go!
