...and they want to set up an eco-getaway. can you imagine going on holiday with that sexist git?

It's rather like those featured on Property Ladder who do it all the wrong way but make a profit anyway. The RR couple moved the goal posts half way through (as so often happens) and spent way over their original budget on the actual property with no clear idea as to what to do with the extra land. Surely they could have found a 1 bed flat in Brighton pretty easily for themselves.

UnquietDad · 01/02/2007 10:19

On PL, they make a profit anyway because they take so long doing the place up that, in the current market, it's increased in price anyway! Rather pointless.

I like Madame Beeny (not just for the two obvious reasons) - apart from the way she says "thasand pands."

TinyGang · 01/02/2007 10:26

Aarrgh wasn't he awful??!

I heard the wife/partner dare to say she especially liked one place and he retorted along the lines..'Well if you insist on living here, it'll make a nice spinster pad' Soemthing like that - implying that he wouldn't come too. Ugh!

yeahinaminute · 01/02/2007 10:43

he was a complete tosser

Mind you DH was impressed with his DP's norks!!

To settle an argument - were his spec frames made of wood ???

LIZS · 01/02/2007 10:45

I woudlnt; ahve been surprised if she'd turned aroudndn said "fine" ! It seemd as if it was her family in Brighton not his(or maybe he was just an uninvolved granpa?!) and they seemed to want slightly different things out of their eco life - will be an interesting revisit I suspect. Anyone else thinking that K and P are getting just a bit more outspoken and personal , lol !

Kelly1978 · 01/02/2007 10:53

I turned it off, I couldn't watch him.

bakedpotato · 01/02/2007 10:55

They did seem a very, ahem, unlikely pair.

I wonder that he could bear to leave brighton.

scottishbird · 01/02/2007 10:55

good word "twunt". will try to use it all day and bring it to the masses up here. (Is it really rude??)

mummydoc · 01/02/2007 11:21

he was ghastly , she seemed so nice , but why oh why didn't K+P point out the eco damage being done by running 2 properties , imagine the bloody carbon emmisions fromheating / maintaining a flat in brighton just for a few visits. i suggested to DH that they should give the 200,000 they spent on the flat to her daughter to buy a bigger house wiht aspare room for them to stay in - then he pointed out that maybe she wont have them as the bloke was a complete wankweevil ( which is just a fantastic expression )

AitchTwoOh · 01/02/2007 11:57

bakedpotato! what are you saying?

i thought she acted like his mum, but you seem to be suggesting that she was in fact his (goatee) beard.

OP posts:
Merlin · 01/02/2007 11:58

mmmmm ......... I wondered that too!

bakedpotato · 01/02/2007 12:01

the elephant in the room, surely?
PMSL at (goatee) beard.

DelGirl · 01/02/2007 12:04

I love relocation but stopped watching this one half way through as they were so annoying.

I'm assuming that is Kirstys 2nd pg is it?

AitchTwoOh · 01/02/2007 12:05

do you know i never once thought that... but you may be right. of course, whatever works for them, bless their appalling socks.
what i can't believe, on a marginally more serious note, was that they intend to take paying guests at their eco-wankathon home. after seeing them together, who on earth would want to stay within 30 acres of them?
and he deffo made that crack about the spinster flat, Kirsty actually said in the voiceover 'i can't believe he just said that'.

i assumed 1st pregnancy, it seemed to have been filmed in the late-summer. boy, that was one big baby.

OP posts:
Marina · 01/02/2007 12:07

Just the photo made me assume that aitch, LOL. They look just too unlikely for words. Wherever it is they are off to, it won't be Ilfracombe, unless he fancies being mashed to a pulp within hours of arriving...
He looks rather like Jez and Quin in "It's Grim Up North London"

Biglips · 01/02/2007 12:07

kirsty only had one baby not long ago so this must be the series before we went off and her enormous baby

AitchTwoOh · 01/02/2007 12:09

you're right, marina, he's a dead ringer.
and pmsl at 'her enormous baby'. do you think she had a savaged min-min?

OP posts:
Marina · 01/02/2007 12:12

I am not much taller than Kirsty's baby so I think her poor min-min must be well and truly savaged. I was awestruck she managed to deliver him vaginally tbh

Biglips · 01/02/2007 12:13

you know wha?...mine was bigger than hers and had a 9lb 1oz baby and only a bit of fluid towards the end of the pg..i prob get it on my profile

Biglips · 01/02/2007 12:14

was it a 11 an a half lb baby?

nailpolish · 01/02/2007 12:15

its Kirstie not Kirsty

sorry to be so exact, but its my dd2's name also so i have a thing about it

as you were

AitchTwoOh · 01/02/2007 12:16

sorrie.

OP posts:
Marina · 01/02/2007 12:20

Sorry naily . I don't usually see it because I sense I may damage the TV, and this week's participants have confirmed my worst fears

AitchTwoOh · 01/02/2007 12:21
