I was at Chatswirth last week and there were a lot of posters featuring Paul Hollywood, not Mary Berry - sorry!

Just caught up with this, great to have it back again. I like Selasi and Benjamina so far, Kate is too smug MC mummy for me, Val is irritating (I thought Mary seemed against her too as she often is with older women contestants) and I don't like Candice's voice or lipstick but will support her because she lives near me. One thing though - how does she bake in high heeled boots? My feet would be killing me!

Does anyone think Kate looks familiar, I'm sure she's been on something before

I'm late to the party too! Watched last night.
My faves are selasi, benjamina & the younger ginger kid.
Yes to thinking Kate is a bit smug, with her home picked berries.. Ffs everyone does that, even in cities.
Candice's lipstick annoyed me.
Val's dancing annoyed me.
I like the other older lady who won star baker.

Also, I ask myself on every series... Why don't they bale a few more just incase?! They're asked for 12. Bake 16! Then you can choose the most uniform ones or if you screw up some you have spares!

Do you mean baking twelve in the techno a challenge? I think they are only given ingredients for 12. Also like Trills says it's probably in the rules.

I obviously mean technical. The techno challenge would probably involve much more exposure to Carl Cox than Mary Berry is used to.

Maybe this had been answered before but why do they have to wear the same clothes on both days?? I assume it's for editing but they clearly say it's a different day. If I spent all day doing two rounds of baking in GBBO no top of mine would be fit for wearing again for the signature. Do little housekeeping ppl strip them after the technically as scurry off to wash their clothes???

Also love the baking but this bugs me!

It's probably because of all the filler bits that they do rather than what goes on I the tent.

If I was ever on bake off I'd be demanding a clothes budget to cover buying two of every top or dress for each weekend!

Oh me too Donatella and DH and I have speculated that they actually do that :)
