Let's hope this series will be better then last one

Obviously you will save money if not buying the most exspensive items every week /spending £200/300

How about helping a family who spend £50/60 and need to cut it down even more

Tho do love the taste challenge esp when they say something is disgusting - and it's their usual posh brand 😂😂😂

This is a hard one. is she spending £94 for her own kids and her minded kids? Thats quite good. Its her husband that's being a pain, but somehow it's still her fault he's spending another £90 Confused

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2016 20:19

Her husband is a bloody nuisance.

raisedbyguineapigs · 03/08/2016 20:20

I agree with her re: sausages. i by expensive ones. It will be interesting to know what ones they are. and tuna i will only buy dolphin friendly in olive oil Grin

NoTractorsAtTheTable · 03/08/2016 20:22

The husband is a right PITA. Can't believe he spends the same on his food alone!

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2016 20:24

Why aren't they teaching the husband to cook something?

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 03/08/2016 20:25

A bit behind, they seem as bad a s each other in that he won't eat what she cooks but she screws her nose up at anything he'd like to eat.

Agree her food shop didn't seem to bad.

raisedbyguineapigs · 03/08/2016 20:26

I think its because he works late, and she cooks dinners for her and the kids as a childminder. He should be eating what she cooks, and adding a bit of chilli sauce if he wants. Or cooking at the weekend.

EmpressOfTheVaginaDentata · 03/08/2016 20:27

Codpieces?

Butteredparsnips · 03/08/2016 20:36

I am seething at man child. As is said so often on here, she has a DH problem

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 03/08/2016 20:44

Those little fish bites/parcels look lovely, think we'll make them.

EmpressOfTheVaginaDentata · 03/08/2016 20:45

I like the look of the chickpea & sweetcorn burgers.

wobblywonderwoman · 03/08/2016 20:46

He would get on my nerves. Spoilt brat.

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2016 20:49

Could he sound less excited that she's cooked for him? What an arse.

LolBeansandSalad · 03/08/2016 20:50

I've only just switched tonight's on just now, but the sexism in this programme usually drives me mad

What shiny ovenware they have

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2016 20:50

She could save £90 a week by ditching the man.

OhHolyFuck · 03/08/2016 21:03

Fuck me, so despite working all day with her own kids and minded kids she's still somehow got to whip up a meal for the fussy ass husband or he'll spend twice the budget on himself

hollinhurst84 · 03/08/2016 21:07

Gah. I live alone so I cook all my food. I would LOVE someone to cook me anything Grin
Surely if someone makes you food you say "thanks" and eat it?!

dalek · 03/08/2016 21:13

hollinhurst84 - I agree - if somebody else cooks it you just say thank you

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2016 21:14

Surely if someone makes you food you say "thanks" and eat it?!

Agreed! My dh doesn't like spice as much as I do. When he cooks I just add chilli sauce.

BeJayKayven · 03/08/2016 21:15

But she has to adapt the things she likes to suit hubby. He didn't seem to compromise much.

Butteredparsnips · 03/08/2016 21:28

Lol I spotted the shiny ovenware too!

hollinhurst84 · 03/08/2016 21:55

It's possibly helped by me being the least fussy eater. My friend just puts food in front of me now and doesn't bother asking what I want. Don't know... I was always told as a child say thank you and eat it even if it's not to your taste

thatstoast · 03/08/2016 22:01

When they revealed he was spending more on himself than she spent on the family Shock

They must have done a few takes because the correct reaction is not suitable for broadcast.

Bonnie152 · 03/08/2016 22:30

This programme is usually quite sexist but this weeks episode was on another level!
Why should it all come down to her, especially when he doesn't seem to like the perfectly normal meals that she makes? Like PP suggested, splash on a spicy sauce or some chopped chilli and done.

He seemed a right PITA!

unimagmative13 · 03/08/2016 22:31

I haven't watched it but I can tell by the commets this might be like my hubby! Fussy fuss pot who think he needs special treatment. He must have been fed on Heinz baby food jars till he was 21.
