Just realised it's back!!!

Watching it on demand now to catch up - where's everyone from last year's thread!!?

Can't wait to discover who we've going to love to hate, and who we'll simply just hate, which couple will we like and who do we want to win!!!

Chops lost. Would rather smuggy mcsmugster and her lapdog left, but alas, not to be.

FoxesOnSocks · 01/09/2016 23:24

Really? But Smuggy McSmugster and her lapdog's dessert looked like a total disaster. Was it close?

I mean both teams were hit and miss types so neither should be there (especially consider who has been knocked out) but, huh?

Catching up, so not reading the thread ( I've actually got my hand covering above posts)

I'm stunned that three out of the six couples left are still in it, they have been terrible, how they have flown under the radar is beyond me, and that Lauren is a right cow, I'd wonder does she look back and think about how nasty she is, and I'm still waiting on a " competition dish" from her.

As for mutton chops and his partner.......words fail me Shock

ALemonyPea · 02/09/2016 09:54

Agree about Lauren, her dishes have been crap.

And yes, half of the top 6 aren't great. I'm surprised mutton chops got this far.

Fox, the losing team got all 6, the winners got 7/8s

DonkeyHotay · 02/09/2016 13:50

I'd rather have the better cooks there than characters. The way the competition is set has removed some of the stronger people by pitting them against competition (like the Italian guys) . The better cooks are placed in sudden death by Pete and Manu so I'm calling shenanigans.

Lauren is consistently below average, all the way to 11 for self confidence though.

FoxesOnSocks · 02/09/2016 15:43

I'd agree. This year seems more so that weak cooks are getting through.

Italian guys and the dad/son where decent but have gone. Yet MuttonChops and Thingie, and Smuggy McSmugster and her lapdog still in after them and hit and miss only to a medico level still in after them.

Of the remainders I'd like Hair Siblings, Anna and Son or the Two Sisters to win.

Yes I agree as well. It seems more (crappy) personality getting through than anything. Previous years, the food has been much better. Hasn't been many dishes this dad in the programme that I'd like to eat, whereas usually I'm drooling.

DonkeyHotay · 02/09/2016 19:49

I've missed the cooking challenges. It's all been for crowds or sudden death.

Imagine Zana and Lauren against each other.

ellenanora5 · 03/09/2016 12:35

I honestly don't thing it's going to a very exciting final, by rights the final two teams should be brother and sister and Mum and son but the way things are going it could be the worst two teams in the final.

I don't like Chris and Cookie so tend to forget about them.

The sisters are very good but they have only cooked asian food so far, they should do some other dishes I think.

FoxesOnSocks · 03/09/2016 14:29

The sisters cooked the Moroccan dish (under the guise of Mediterranean dish) which was very good according to the judges. Though they haven't cooked anything out of the spicy range.

And scotch eggs. They haven't been asked to experiment, quite happy with Lauren getting through cos she makes a decent pastry shell.

ellenanora5 · 03/09/2016 16:18

Oh yes they did FoxesOnSocks, I forgot about that.

Don't remember the scotch eggs DonkeyHotay.

FoxesOnSocks · 03/09/2016 16:29

Scotch eggs? When did they make those?!

No recollection of that.

OP posts:
DonkeyHotay · 03/09/2016 16:44

Spoiler sorry. It was on Friday's episode.

FoxesOnSocks · 03/09/2016 16:54

Oh no problem!! My player is playing up (in a way a player shouldn't). It cut off the end of Thursday and appears to be pretending yesterday doesn't exist. It's repeated on to tomorrow though.

OP posts:
FoxesOnSocks · 04/09/2016 09:15

Just watching Friday's.

Why the hell did Anna and Son think giving Zana and Lala liver would be a good idea? Have they not been paying attention? Zana knows what to do with liver!!

Yep just what I was thinking Foxes, she's cooked it before so couldn't understand that all, mind you their own dish looked like a car crash, I'll say nothing else until everyone is caught up.

DonkeyHotay · 04/09/2016 20:45

Vanilla and saffron and blackpudding and rhubarb seemed like the hardest combos to me. I think they saw the hair siblings and sisters as their toughest competition.

ALemonyPea · 05/09/2016 20:24

'I cry on the inside' Hmm

GeekyWombat · 05/09/2016 20:35

Manu doing a little dance of joy at Tas and Graz's sesame chocolate ball things literally made me laugh out loud.

DonkeyHotay · 05/09/2016 20:45

Zana doesn't own a mirror. She clearly has no idea about the faces she's pulling.

I bet Lauren and Carmine are up last as the weakest team. Not that Lauren knows that.

DonkeyHotay · 07/09/2016 09:18

Just when I think I was being unfair to Zana she makes a ridiculous fuss. Ffs

Carmine and Lauren tonight

FoxesOnSocks · 07/09/2016 21:41

I'm watching yesterday's at the moment.

Lauren and her Lacky, and Zana and Lala are simply being wankers for the sake of being wankers aren't they?

OP posts:
DonkeyHotay · 07/09/2016 21:49

Yup. I've just finished tonight's.

FoxesOnSocks · 07/09/2016 21:56

Seriously are they putting the hairs in there?

"I can make a better custard - and should give Laura a lesson in making it'. Wtf?

Always deeply suspicious isn't it when the judges score well (and also very well) and some of the teams score low.

Was going to bed but now need to watch tonight's!!
