Just discovered this on iplayer. Only seen two so far and really loving it! Anyone else watching?

Thanks scrumble! I missed that.

I'm not sure whether it was "the Others"ish or actual time-travel.

rathersheepish · 22/06/2016 12:02

When did Colin Morgan get so gorgeous?

TheHiphopopotamus · 22/06/2016 13:48

Just finished watching it all on iplayer. Absolutely loved it in the main, although it has thrown a few questions up. Are we waiting till it's all been aired on BBC1 before spoilerising it?

Agree that it didn't need the Others bits in it although hopefully it's thrown it open to another series.

When did Colin Morgan get so gorgeous?
And also this ^ With his shiny, floppy black hair and piercing blue eyes

FancyShrew · 23/06/2016 13:47

Was anyone else majorly annoyed by his wife, to the point of hatred?! I get irrational hate for characters that often no one else shares, and wondering if this is one of those times?

Other than the (irrational?!) hate for this character I quite liked it Grin

GinIsIn · 23/06/2016 15:03

Oh I really liked her! It's so nice to have a female character in a period thing who's gutsy and driven and not sitting around swooning and waiting to be rescued!

EttaJ · 23/06/2016 15:57

Just finished it. Loved it and I believe there is another series to come

Fenella have you watched penny dreadful? That has a great strong female character. Even better in season 2.

I'm planning on watching the living and the dead over the weekend. Thanks for the reminder OP!

GinIsIn · 23/06/2016 19:54

OnceMore - Ooh, no I haven't yet - it's next on the list after I finally catch up on Orange is the New Black!

Firsttimer82 · 23/06/2016 20:21

Finish episode 6. Why does the last bit mean? I don't get it...

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 24/06/2016 10:24

Just watching episode 5. Loving it. Just wish it wasn't so dark!

EttaJ · 24/06/2016 13:44

stuckwithme yes I found that, I kept wanting to turn the brightness up.

Yep,. Found it be accident on IPlayer and watched all the episodes in one day!

GaryGilmoresEyes · 24/06/2016 21:49

I watched all 6 in two days. It was bloody amazing. Grin

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 25/06/2016 11:19

I need to talk about the ending.

EttaJ · 25/06/2016 13:19

Yes stuck me too. I watched in in bits over a few days. I think I might watch the whole lot again in one go. I can't get enough of shows like this. They need to make more. I liked Marchlands and Lightfields too. I really love supernatural time lapse type stuff.

I need to talk about the ending too!

Iguessyourestuckwithme · 25/06/2016 18:47

Okay so my questions/wonderings

  1. was the programme set in the 1890's and the great grandaughter appeared to them or was it set now and we were seeing what happened before it all happened? How did the car end up being driven in 2016 yet discovered in 1896?

  2. Gwen was it just me or was there more to her story than just being the house maid

Episode 1 - Haunting of the girl; where had the haunted girl heard/listened to that recording? Why was Gabriel on the recording calling out for his father ?
Episode 2 - The mining; how did the ghosts know about the mother thing? I get ghosts can haunt but how can they know information like that?
Episode 3 - The harvest; did we find out the back story as to why they thought that Peter was odd when he was younger? What did his mum [maud] know - she seemed to have a bit more infomation than she gave out? who was creeping around in the mill cottage?
Episode 4 - why was the teacher so panicked? Did Gwen kill her with the gun or just guard her?
Episode 5 -That was just creepy with everyone in the trees and the soldiers/horses
Episode 6 -

ItsyBitsyBikini · 25/06/2016 18:52

I've only just started this so skipped the last few posts in case of spoilers. I really enjoyed episode 1 but there were times I thought 'I need someone in the house with me' I did have DS with me but he's 2 weeks old so not much use at protecting me from scary things! Will catch up this week when dp is back at work.

TheHiphopopotamus · 25/06/2016 19:00

For anyone who enjoyed the music, I emailed the creators of it, who said they originally had no plans to release anything but have had an overwhelming response to it and are looking to put something out.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 26/06/2016 11:52

Loved episode one, will watch more later!!

dailymaillazyjournos · 26/06/2016 20:43

Just watched episode 1 and loved it. I'm a bit crap at reading between the lines so can anyone tell me who the modern looking girl at the end is?

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 26/06/2016 20:57

I just watched the whole lot, my eyes are square!

Best thing I've seen in ages, loved the ending!!

BaconAndAvocado · 26/06/2016 22:52
