You don't learn basic respect for other people at school though do you? It's obvious Jade is her mothers child, but it's still not that deterministic. I knew growing up that it wasn't nice to call people names becasue of their race even though my sisters and mother did it. It made life harder for me living with them, but I think I have a stronger character for it; for knowing basic right from wrong.

It's never too late to realise this but you have to accept you were wrong in the first place and people just don't like doing that.
