Ok, like our sister thread for those who have read the books, this is for discussion of Outlander Series 2 but for those who have not read the books and/or don't want any spoilers.

Whoops! Have just thought - shouldn't it be Lasses of Lallybroch? Might have to get MNHQ to edit...

hudyerwheesht · 25/05/2016 15:56

I think both are right, Mistressfraser - "lassie" is the word for girl/lady in Scotland so "lassies" would be the plural of that. Although "lass" is used as well of course so "lasses" would work too.
But where I come from it would be more likely to be lassie than lass.

Well I really love the series a lot more than the bits of the books that I've skim read too quickly .
Cast, costumes, castles ...everything is perfect and I miss it and count the days until it's on again .
Can't bloody wait to get back to Scotland . Need to see Murtagh back from his trip. Love Jenny. Hope they have lots of rainy picnics and sex in the heather

Drywhitethanks · 25/05/2016 16:05

I suspect Outlander extremists are a certain, very odd breed unlike us of course!
Saw SE on an Ausdie chat show on YouTube , he walked through an audience of middle aged, dowdy, rather odd looking women in Ourlander t-shits snapping manically on their phones ....I wonder if he died a little bit inside when he saw what the die hard fan base looked like nothing like us, I'm obviously a nubile supermodel myself Grin

pixieg1rl · 25/05/2016 16:16

Grin dry

snozzlemaid · 25/05/2016 17:45

I joined the Outlander group on Goodreads and have been too scared to post anything as they all love the books and pick holes in the tv series.
Don't think they'd appreciate my views on the tv show improving on the books.

Just for a change, Dougal's knees...

I suspect because of the age of the books - the first one came out 25 years ago, remember - that would make the die hard fans a bit, ahem, more mature.

I can't wait for them to get back to Scotland. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a next episode trailer to confirm this but nothing yet. LOVE Jenny, she was one of my favourite characters and just as good in the book.

snozzlemaid · 25/05/2016 18:40

Shit. Just realised this is the no spoiler thread. Hope those pics don't spoil anything.

Verbena37 · 25/05/2016 18:56

Grin I don't think they're spoilers.....they could be pics from season 1.
I just don't wanna know what happens in book six or whatever.

hudyerwheesht · 25/05/2016 19:21

It's ok snozzle, it just means no storyline spoilers. Dinnae fash! Grin

TheHiphopopotamus · 25/05/2016 19:24

I hope they at least have one episode where they're happy together at Lallybroch with plenty of shagging. It's been a bit of a misery fest so far for their relationship.

I've just rewatched Sundays episode and can I add another round to our drinking game from the other thread?

Every time someone says the words 'bitter cascara'? Mark me, that herb is an amazing thing.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 26/05/2016 09:49

Gahd!

Just had a mega catch up and finished watching Faith at 3 am this morning.
Totally in bits.

(except that that scence was totally ruined by Jamie wearing a comedy stuck on red beard)

I assume being stabbed in the knackers is not going to be good for Randall's "idea of having a good time"

MistressFraser · 26/05/2016 16:02

Nice pic - but I can't get the video to work. I have an urgent need to see happy things and that's what they are promising...
