I love the bit at the start where we see them at home with their proud parents/partner/children etc etc. I think I'm in the minority but I hope they do it again tonight.

They definitely will, it's an hour long so they need some soppy filler bits.

I'm not enamoured with any of them but I'll watch. On paper you'd think it'd be Jack to win but his "enthusiasm" comes across as smugness which puts me off him.

Jane is so self-effacing she couldn't be accused of smugness & she has developed over the series without becoming off- the-wall in the methods she uses.

Billy has the least annoying personality traits of the final 3 but I am amazed he has got this far with the catalogue of plating up/presentation issues he's had - not sure taste will outweigh poncery in the final.

Prediction: Jack to get above himself & Jane to win!

I am really cross about Juanita going... Billy has scraped through every round and should have gone.

Jane just drives me mad. Also is anyone else annoyed by her being referred to as a full-time mother, as if working mums aren't full-time?!

Just caught up on yesterday in time. While I thought Billy should have gone ages ago Juanita had to go for using pollen.

The chef's table round was so boring. And weird.

I think the people who've said they've been setting up Jane's winner's story are right. I can't recall there being a middle aged female winner before. There have been a few young women who've won so maybe they feel it's time that a 'MUM OF FOUR DON'T YOU KNOW' wins.
