(After our antenatal thread became somewhat hijacked with talk of Doctor Who)

Hello,

My name's (usually) MsMoss and I've been a Doctor Who Geek for over twenty years now. I grew up with McCoy, stood by it through its years in the wilderness and now watch, proud but slightly bemused, as it is no longer shameful to admit you're a fan.

Anyone else with me? You love the new series but don't want the old to be forgotten?

They made the Yetis more scary for that one. In their previous appearance they'd seemed a bit too cuddly !

i didnt realise they had made them so cute. no wonder everyone looks at me like a complete idiot if i mention them being horrid like the black and white version. i was only about 3 or 4 and hid behind sofa.

I do! I was almost 12 & I remember it vividly, especially the cobweb....

I remember it, I would have been younger than DD is now.

Even now I get a certain thrill when i see those tunnels that disappear into the darkness in the underground......

(Or did before I moved out of London!)

I would have been -9 when Web of Fear was shown.

Might be worth me adding the Lost in Time DVD to my growing birthday list then!!

Bet on 31st March or 7th April for the start of the new series. And that's more than a guess!

Last I read on OG it was betting on 14th, something about waiting til Ice dance thing finishes so it doesn't clash with the final?

I was working on various deductions to do with a) Six Nations Rugby schedule, b) previews in DWM and c) comments on Outpost Gallifrey...

Interesting that there is to be a story called "42"! I think the people thinking "Douglas Adams" etc are barking up entirely the wrong tree - I reckon it'll be a "real time" episode - you know, like "24"...

The Dr did once mention Arthur dent didn't he.
Apparantly they are repeating series 2 and it finishes 7/4

Thanks for letting us know about the repeats - I can record the miossing episodes for DD now. She was so cross that Id only recorded certain episodes (this was before she'd got into Dr Who). She wants to know what happened to the Oud.

missed your uncle terrance post tri! sorry! i met him when i was a young boy at a local mart/con in brum!...saddest thing ive got signed tho is a cyberglove signed by the cyberleader himself (david banks)....its a long story how i got it but it involves the aforementioned mr banks, much beer and me in a 7th doctor outfit....

Sky finished today so no more w/e recording of the Uk gold ones

They have re-designed the official website and it's bloody annoying!! I HASTE those moving backgrounds where the design gets in the way of the purpose.

Oh I know isn't it annoying! When you try to click on something it zooms out of the way unless you're quick enough!

Maybe it's just designed for youngsters, with better hand-eye coordination?

Got my Cybermen box set today!

Got the 5" clockwork droid/autons/dalek today, we are all very excited!

Only just seen The Doctor Sings link and PMSL - had to call dh in to share the joke. Something very, very shocking about hearing Tom Baker's wonderfully RSC voice saying 'fucking'.

I too thought dh would be well interested and he said "oh it's more Doctor Who stuff," and that was it!
