We need more emojis to express our Outlander emotions, e.g. worried about the future, watching episode through fingers, knee appreciation, Murtagh love, good fringe.

wigglybeezer · 17/05/2016 19:31

Anyone else imagining watching several series back to back in a binge in the future?

Jane054848 · 17/05/2016 20:19

Love the idea of tailored emojis. Someone sent me a bird shitting on head emoji yesterday (after a bird shat on my head) so it seems there must be one for every occasion.

Also love the idea of binge watching 100 episodes but read online recently that ratings are lower and now panicking they won't renew for s3 and beyond.

Drywhitethanks · 17/05/2016 20:19

Wiggly I'm planning a 2 day binge during summer holidays.

Totally gutted we are half way through already Sad

Totally dreading next week's episode Sad

Do you really think they are going at a faster pace than the first season? I was complaining a couple of weeks ago that this wasn't pacey enough, season 1 had plenty of action as far as I recall.

Love all of those funny captions and the text is hilarious....where do you find this stuff?

And those of you following SH on Twitter etc what's he up to these days?

Someone posted a fantastic review with caption last week - who was it and where can I find it?

Episode 7 is going to be awful, but then we should get back to Lallybroch and shagging on the glens I hope..

Going to bed now to catch up on DIA. Will there be a new thread by morning?!

TheHiphopopotamus · 17/05/2016 20:49

Just read that Diana Gabaldon has said that one of the scenes in one of the upcoming episodes has 'jumped the shark' as it's deviated so much from her books.

She won't say what it is, but it's not the dropped dream sequence of Jamie, Claire and Frank driving about in a car!

pixieg1rl · 17/05/2016 20:52

Or the wolves. Or the magic lake of emotional healing, or any of the other batshit stuff in the books Hmm

That phrase about glass houses springs to mind

TheHiphopopotamus · 17/05/2016 20:55

As for viewing figures, Outlandercastblog has a great figure, explaining that viewing figures are actually up. (Sorry, no idea how to do links Blush but they seem pretty certain it's on track for another season, so fingers crossed!).

TheHiphopopotamus · 17/05/2016 20:58

pixie lol! Excellent point. She's probably pissed that they've dropped a load of her more 'out there' storylines.

Speaking of which, I really hope that it doesn't follow the books in regard to one of the characters can't say who but I'm just putting good vibes out there

PlymouthMaid1 · 17/05/2016 21:49

I have also only just found this thread. I loved season one but not enjoying season 2 so much. I think I am missing he gorgeous scenery and tartan eye candy. Will read the books soon I think although if they are poorly written they may wind me up too much.

Drywhitethanks · 17/05/2016 21:52

She can talk......the show seems to have cut all her crap out

drywhite if you google "outlander funny memes" you'll find quite a lot. Plus I've got Outlander listed in my Pinterests so I get things pop up on there.

I'm not on Twitter but I may have to join.

Whoever asked about links, it usually just converts them on MN, so just copy and paste the link into a new message. In the "share" button on a pic/video,etc there's usually a 'copy link ', I use that.

Also, I'm sure I've seen a Scottish emoji before on MN, maybe in Scotsnet...

hudyerwheesht · 18/05/2016 06:43

Can't find the Scottish emoji, I know I saw one before - it was a regular smiley but with a tartan cap and ginger hair. I'm sure I'm not imagining it...

snozzlemaid · 18/05/2016 07:29

'Waves to PlymouthMaid1 from across the border in Cornwall'.
I follow SH on twitter and he's mostly talking about his peak challenge thing at the moment.
I finished DIA last night so can't wait to get started on Voyager later.
I'm loving the books PlymouthMaid1. They're great to read along watching it and seeing how the tv series improves on some of the dodgy story lines.

MistressFraser · 18/05/2016 09:17

The Scottish emoji might just have been for Burns Night - MN do seasonal emojis sometimes.

How much am I going to cry if I read DIA? And are bits of it as horrible as Wentworth? I need to psych myself up if it is going to be traumatic.

snozzlemaid · 18/05/2016 09:23

I cried buckets about 100 pages before the end. And I'm a tough old boot who never cries at a book. It really got to me though. It wasn't gory like Wentworth, but it rips your heart out.

pixieg1rl · 18/05/2016 10:07

I was the same as snozzle I was in bits over a particular scene that I wouldn't have expected to be.

Drywhitethanks · 18/05/2016 12:29

Didn't cry hard but it did make me very sad indeed. Not as bad as Wentworth but nearly.

Di you think we should all take up hill walking? Peak challenge anyone Wink

Been off work I'll today and watching the dvd extras. Thought you'd like this one so I found it on YouTube...knees!

pixieg1rl · 18/05/2016 13:45

It's mental health awareness week at work, so I've decided to my bit and leave early (thank you annualised hours). I've got time for an episode of something to enjoy with my knitting before I have to do school pick up.

My favourite deleted scene has to be the one where Jamie is putting on his kilt Grin

hudyerwheesht · 18/05/2016 15:11

I think that's everyone's favourite deleted scene Wink

TheHiphopopotamus · 18/05/2016 15:16

Where can I find this scene you speak of?! Is it on YouTube? I don't have the dvd Sad

pixieg1rl · 18/05/2016 15:23

ooh, let me introduce you....
