Is anyone watching this? I'm so scared for the horrid pregnant lady!! Argh

OP posts:

That was a very difficult watch. And it seems to be getting more improbable with each episode, although I know I'll keep watching till the end. Sooni has three admirers, all rather sweet. Ralph allows a small child to be put in terrible danger, and his wife to have sex with a hateful man. And what is it with Madeleine 's weird false eyelashes??

Clawdy · 25/04/2016 10:33

Rather a strange moment, too, when she said "My child is asleep down the corridor." Did she mean Adam?

ParadiseCity · 25/04/2016 11:03

I wondered about that. I thought maybe she was just thinking up a pretend excuse so she could have the door shut. I was hoping she was going to strangle him or something.

Felt so sad for Cynthia talking about her babies.

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 11:06

Madeline and Ralph have a daughter, although Ralph is possibly the bigger child Smile

Clawdy · 25/04/2016 11:35

They have a daughter? How have I missed that?

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 12:18

It was a bit blink and you'll miss it. She's firmly off somewhere with an ayah and probably only gets trooped out once a week so she remembers what her parents look like.

Clawdy · 25/04/2016 14:02

I just can't remember that at all. I thought she seemed fond of Adam because she had no child of her own.

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 14:16

I'm sure they have a child. Maybe I hallucinated it Confused

Clawdy · 25/04/2016 14:59

Anyone help? Really want to know now!Smile

pixieg1rl · 25/04/2016 15:42

Radio Times cast list for episode 3 of series 2 has a listing for Vivienne Whelan - and this from the Mirror www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/indian-summers-sizzles-back-tv-7545737

"Besides Alice’s increasingly complex love life, her brother Ralph is now married to Madeleine – the American heiress he bedded in the first series and who turned out to be penniless. They are parents to a two-year-old daughter, Vivienne – but parenthood has failed to tame their ambitions for power."

Clawdy · 25/04/2016 16:04

Wow, thank you pixieg. Must have missed that completely! As you say, she must spend a lot of time with her ayah!!

RaeSkywalker · 25/04/2016 21:33

Just watched it on catch up. Had to fast forward bits as it was so uncomfortable to watch!

ParadiseCity · 26/04/2016 10:13

Oooh maybe the ending will feature Vivienne. She could toddle along and pick up the gun Adam was practising with, and shoot Charlie. And Ralph. And the maharajah. And Sarah.

She could maybe just leave Alice, Aafrin, Bhupi and Sooni and 'her men' and that could make series 3 a bit better.

Clawdy · 26/04/2016 11:18

Or maybe she will have aged about twelve years like Sarah's son!Grin

RaeSkywalker · 26/04/2016 11:23

Clawdy Matthew has grown up quick hasn't he! Grin

hairymairyfromthedairy · 26/04/2016 21:22

RaeSkywalker · 27/04/2016 09:14

Ah, that's a shame. I have enjoyed this series less than the first (it's strayed too far into 'unbelievable' territory on more than one occasion), but I've still enjoyed it!

Clawdy · 27/04/2016 15:03

Yes,that is a shame. I also feel it will leave lots of untied ends, as I imagine when this series was recorded the writer was thinking there was lots more to come.

RaeSkywalker · 01/05/2016 22:22

Flipping heck it was a bit tense tonight. Daft plan though- who gets a top secret rickshaw at 8? Surely you'd run off in the dead of night?!

Clawdy · 01/05/2016 22:32

And surely Alice would have arranged for the poor ayah to take the evening off, she might have guessed Charlie would turn on her. Tense and exciting, though, even if it was all bound to end badly.

ParadiseCity · 02/05/2016 07:49

I couldn't watch the last bit. I was so gutted Charlie caught them.

And could you BELIEVE Ralph saying to Madeleine 'maybe if you put your back into it' ShockShockShock

2rebecca · 02/05/2016 09:27

The ending really upset me. Not sure I'll watch more as I felt manipulated. Surely when tortured she would give a false place and send him on a wild goose chase and say he must have been too late. Why did no one hear the ayah scream

2rebecca · 02/05/2016 09:32

Agree Sunday night scheduling was a mistake. Why is there nothing decent on Friday or Saturday. You have to remember to video it as no iplayer C4 version on Sony TVs too

RaeSkywalker · 02/05/2016 09:56

So bets on who is going to get murdered then? I think Charlie.

I don't understand why the Ayah even knew where the room was to be honest...

2rebecca · 02/05/2016 13:33

Agree given she'd admitted to being asked to spy for Charlie why tell her more than "I am leaving him"
