Hello! Didn't know this board was here last night (duh), but glad to see others were as disbelieving as me over that lady's "easy" section. Certainly not my experience!

Probably shouldn't watch OBEM again (too inflamatory), but I love the tiny babies :P

I love this programme. But can never work out why people seem to be admitted in such early stages of labour. I guess it makes better telly?

Have they always filmed it in maternity hospitals rather than just a normal hospital with a maternity ward?

We dont have a maternity hospital just a normal one so things happen quite differently there. We dont have fancy prebirthing suites. Just bedded bay areas and then when about to give birth you are taken to a labour room where you will give birth unless you are having a section. So you can be in early labour and there with three other women and their partners.

The first few series were in hospitals with a maternity ward e.g LGI . Liverpool Womens is supposed to be closing and moving back into the new main hospital.
