Claggy gnocchi. Never a good thing. My DS tried to make gnocchi once. He was about 12 and didn't know what he was aiming for. The end result was like eating lukewarm wallpaper paste.

Yes yes yes Liney. I love a rare steak but I am odd... hate pink duck, lamb or pork. Well... lamb could be faintly pink but not like they do it... I'm more of a lamb shank falling off the bone person.

The meat on masterchef has just got more and more raw, and even the fish is looking like that now!

Raw pork, raw pigeon, raw venison, raw beef, raw lamb ... yuck. I think the raw fish was the result of the fear of actually cooking something all the way through and being told it's 'overdone' with the resultant John & Greg disgusted faces.

i think my raw phobia stems from being at this pukka restaurant and having the pigeon and something posh salad.

I am not kidding, it was completely raw. Bright red/pink absolutely revolting. Don't think it had seen a frying pan. Bleurghhhh

Agree on the fish, they get so worked up if it's 10 seconds 'over' !

Dry fish is pretty inedible, though. I thought the pork looked under, but not by too much.

Juanita seems brilliant. Reminds me of how good Ping was pretty much all the way through. I like Jack too.

I'm actually going to watch it live tonight. DH is relegated to another room or silence; his choice.

Roussette, I had pigeon in a restaurant and it was just like that. Totally uncooked IMHO. I like pigeon but not in that state, ie almost cooing.

I had to sit on my hands last night to prevent myself joining in with you lot, I couldn't risk it thanks to a fraught wifi situation. 'Twas sheer agony. So I'm poised for tonight's display of cack-handedness contest.
