Is it just me or is Morven THE most annoying character ever?!

OP posts:
TheDrsDocMartens · 08/06/2016 16:47

and yes really nice to bring back old characters

CrazyDuchess · 08/06/2016 16:52

I really liked Johnny.

Malkin was great, but wasn't keen on the portrayal as the "Angry black man" but he was very talented, maybe they bring him back a bit more chilled out!

What the hell is going on with Valentine though - I just can't warm to him, and in a matter of weeks has a pregnancy scare with a patient and then hooking up with the nurse?? I really want to like him but they are making it very difficult.

The characters this season are really rich and in depth so have throughly enjoyed it Grin

Ooohhhhhh maybe bring back Michael?

HalleLouja · 08/06/2016 16:54

A lovely blog from Pause Live Action.

ChoccyJules · 08/06/2016 17:00

I was surprised by how much the episode affected me, DH thought it was a bit odd that I was blubbing over a TV programme. I think it was the mixture of Diggers being a lovely character and the way they did the final scene, particularly the bit with the hand squeeze. I was put off by the crowd at the bottom of his bed though, I mean, really?! Bye Arthur Sad

MarvinKMooney · 08/06/2016 17:03

Yes, how did all the staff manage to get into the room as Diggers died? That was the one scene that didn't square with me. It should have been Zosia and Dom. Oh and I suppose Morven at a push.Wink

MarvinKMooney · 08/06/2016 17:09

Great blog post, Halle.

I so hope Rob Ostlere turns up in something else soon.

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 08/06/2016 17:43

I'm wondering if Jac is trying to stop Zosia ending up like her.

Oooh Mrs, good call!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 08/06/2016 17:48

That blog was lovely, Halle. I couldn't stop the tears last night when Morven said 'I'll walk you home, Arthur' - Christ, I'm crying NOW, just thinking about it. I'm astonished how much that whole episode affected me.

Hushabyelullaby · 08/06/2016 18:03

I've found my people, God I was a snivelling, wailing wreck by the send of last night's episode. I'm SO going to miss Diggers.

And I have to agree that Henrik Hanssen is bloody fabulous, I was so chuffed when his character came back.

What happened when it was discovered that it wasn't Penny (Ollie's doctor sister who got stabbed), had cheated in her medical exams but Ollie? Did it just get magically ignored?

I liked the Goth doctor Petrenko and also Ade Edmonson's character.

I don't like Guy or Morven, and sometimes do and sometimes don't, Dom.

Hushabyelullaby · 08/06/2016 18:06

oh, and yay that Ethan and Arthur were friends. In real life they so would have been!

DigestiveBiscuit · 08/06/2016 18:09

Maliki found out Ollie cheated, but as he had just some fantastic technical procedure, Malkin said he deserved to be a doctor anyway, so he kept quiet.

Hushabyelullaby · 08/06/2016 18:13

thanks Digestive, well of course that would happen wouldn't it!? Nowhere quite like Holby!

LunaLoveg00d · 08/06/2016 19:47

hat happened when it was discovered that it wasn't Penny (Ollie's doctor sister who got stabbed), had cheated in her medical exams but Ollie? Did it just get magically ignored?

Didn't he have to repeat a year?

Who'd be a doctor at Holby though - so many of them meet a sticky end.

PinkSnowAndStars · 08/06/2016 20:01

I'm glad I've found my type of people... I've just cried again reading your comments! It really got to me!!! Jac and Zosia pushed me over the edge!

SoupDragon · 08/06/2016 20:30

Just watched, and blubbed, on catch-up

[wail]

ISaySteadyOn · 08/06/2016 21:14

Jac and Zosia tipped me over the edge too. And I too was glad Ethan and Arthur were friends because of course they were.

(sobs)

MarvinKMooney · 08/06/2016 21:20

I'm thinking of watching it all over again on catchup. That would be daft ... wouldn't it?

CrazyDuchess · 08/06/2016 21:22

Marvin - I really want to watch it again but not sure I could cope. I watched Me before You on Monday and Holby on Tuesday I don't think I can cry at the TV for a this day running x

Riddo · 08/06/2016 21:24

I watched it again today as I was crying so much last night, I missed bits. I still feel really sad.

Poppytime · 08/06/2016 21:27

I watched it again this evening - why I did that I don't know, I had the same reaction! ConfusedSad

PortBlacksandBlackLobster · 08/06/2016 22:08

I was (sort of) ok until Zac held Zosia up.

PortBlacksandBlackLobster · 08/06/2016 22:09

.....Jac obv

Mirandawest · 08/06/2016 23:36

I just watched it. Was ok until the last couple of minutes Sad

SmileAndNod · 09/06/2016 10:26

Why didn't I read this before I watched this last night before bed? It left me a snivelling mess, proper something in my throat can't catch my breath cryingSad. TV doesn't usually leave me feeling so sad. I had to go and sob into into my dog!

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 09/06/2016 11:03

A friend of mine said she sobbed like Arthur was her own. I know what she means!
