Is it just me or is Morven THE most annoying character ever?!

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 20/04/2017 23:09

Drugged Up Man said he'd taken stuff to keep him alert.

MommaGee · 21/04/2017 00:31

Yeah but the wife was real, they broke up, he had nothing left in his life so was the sob imaginary or dead? We have a right know lol

SoupDragon · 21/04/2017 07:13

I think the son is alive. Didn't Fletch recognise him as a School Dad? I don't recal the son being mentioned as dead at all. I think all his memories about the bike accident were hallucinations or subsequent drug induced dreams as he was in the hospital bed.

MommaGee · 21/04/2017 08:34

Ah yeah you're right I forgot that

HalleLouja · 21/04/2017 11:05

I think Nurse Sydney has left for good / well at least until Holby bosses decide to bring her back.

SoupDragon · 21/04/2017 11:16

I find it interesting how we remember different things about an episode :)

I don't think Sydney is gone for good at all. She'll get a permanent position, with no interview, and her and fletch will shack up together. Otherwise I feel her appearance is completely pointless given how quickly the dispute over the will was cleared up.

Solo · 21/04/2017 15:05

I'm with SoupDragon, they are going to get together. Or maybe the doctor that Fletch was living with? I want a happy ending for Fletch though.

HatHen · 21/04/2017 15:26

I think they'll get together too.

Rachel0Greep · 25/04/2017 19:30

Have fallen behind, again! Smile

notaflyingmonkey · 25/04/2017 21:40

Not a good story line for Sacha tonight, which is a shame as I think they did really well with the abusive story line recently.

LuxuryWoman2017 · 25/04/2017 21:44

Did the Sacha storyline come a bit out of nowhere or have I missed something?
Bit disjointed tonight I felt
Glad to see Ric though, such an elegant man, all the hints of a wild past keep coming up too- interesting character.

frazzled3ds · 25/04/2017 22:01

Agree it felt a bit disjointed - seemed to be a bit of an episode giving time to characters who've not been 'seen' much lately. Hope it picks up the pace a bit again next week!

Solo · 25/04/2017 22:29

It did seem as though a chunk was somehow missing didn't it? Sacha had liposuction because he is so down about his middle aged spread and it wasn't good when the wound got infected so I'm not surprised he has depression :( Poor love; I really love his character.

MissSueFlay · 27/04/2017 11:27

I was shouting a lot at the TV when I watched it last night

  1. How do you diagnose depression and stage an intervention in the space of one shift? Some of the build-up to that must have been cut from previous weeks, Sacha just seemed grumpy to me....
  2. How entitled was Ric's grand-daughter?! I know she has an unhappy home life, but you don't just turn up to your relative's workplace and expect them to be able to spend 'quality time' with you! And then go all sarky and cocky when they point this out! Angry It's making me cross just recalling it!

I did like Team Jac-Matteo, I like that they professionally respect each other, I think she may have finally met her match...

sluj · 28/04/2017 18:06

I was shouting at the so called intervention too - why go to the public cafe to do it????

Rachel0Greep · 28/04/2017 23:17

Still not up to date.
Just reading comments about Sacha storyline, not the first time that a storyline with him has been disjointed.
I'm thinking of time he had liposuction - story out of nowhere...and never referred to again, afaik.

And one where a patient was offended by something he said and refused to allow him to carry out her surgery, but it was completely unclear to viewers what it was he had said that caused such offence. Confused

DubiousCredentials · 29/04/2017 07:59

Sasha storylines are always intensely irritating. I love him when he's just being a normal consultant without any ridiculous drama and not the main storyline. As soon as the story is all about him the plot is more ludicrous than usual and he irritates the bejesus out of me.

Optimist1 · 02/05/2017 21:04

Did anyone else think that this week's episode was at a very odd pace - jumping very suddenly from short scene to the next short scene? I was feeling quite dizzy towards the end!

Solo · 02/05/2017 23:47

Didn't notice that, but now you mention it...!
I don't get that one of their very own was murdered over in the Ed just a few days ago and nobody mentioned it!

Sacha seems well today Hmm.

Optimist1 · 03/05/2017 07:34

Spending time with Essie seems to cure all ills, Solo - clinical depression, grumpy rebellious teenagers .. she should pop down to the morgue to work her magic on Cal. Wink

Solo · 03/05/2017 09:49

Optimist1 you made me snort! Yes, I'm sure she could raise him from his eternal slumber.

Frith2013 · 03/05/2017 17:23

Yes, that depression lifted quickly...

TheOnlyLivingBoyInNewCross · 03/05/2017 20:00

Why do threads randomly fall off my "Threads I'm on" list?

And where's Dom and why does no-one mention him? Confused

SoupDragon · 04/05/2017 09:03

I don't think his depression has lifted. He seems the same as always (pre-depression and before we knew about it!). I think he puts on a good show for others. It is an odd storyline though, completely out of nowhere.

Optimist1 · 04/05/2017 09:58

They're obviously setting him up for a rekindled romance with Rae; that would be good and possibly stop Essie fussing around him like a mother hen.
