I see it's on Fox tonight: S6 E7
Is that us back from the mid season break, or is it a repeat of what we were watching before xmas?

Who has baby judith the ever huge toddler new head baby?

Who is left

Carol
Priest
Black man who came. Can't rem his name

Will they save the day next season. Will negan die and then rest of gang be friendly?

Still have Jesus and the new men whose horse got borrowed and any left in hilltop?

DontOpenDeadInside · 05/04/2016 13:11

I think next season is going to be the Alexandrians working for Negan (ie giving him half of everything) and them trying to find a way to kill him. We've not really had a good "baddie" since the Governor, so looking forward to seeing how it pans out.

Hoping FTWD fills the hole that TWD has left, until October.

DontOpenDeadInside · 05/04/2016 13:13

I think Father Gabriel is looking out for Judith.

NanoTechMum · 05/04/2016 13:30

I think the first time they went to Hilltop it was a day's drive away. So, from Alexandra in the van on bumpy roads I would guess 100km? I assumed they were covering quite a vast area and think there will be more settlements to uncover. The Saviours could be anywhere.

I said before but I am really looking forward to finding out more about The Saviours. How big is their camp? How civilised is it? Are there lots of women and children? What is everyone's relationship with Negan? Are the other Saviours scared of him?

And of course I want to find out Negan's background. With The Governor, didn't we find out he had been very ordinary in the real world but there were hints that he had been a serial killer?

DontOpenDeadInside · 05/04/2016 14:22

SPOLIER RE THE GOVERNORS BACKGROUND

The governor was called Brian before the apocalypse and his big brother Phillip took care of him before and after. He could do what needed to be done. Brian was weak and useless. Penny was Phillips daughter and was killed because of Brians inability to protect her, then Phillip was killed not long after. This was a turning point for Brian and when he turned up at Woodbury and they asked his name, he told them his name was Phillip, and kind of assumed his brothers roll.

DontOpenDeadInside · 05/04/2016 14:23

This was out of the book "Rise of the Governor". There's a few books in the series which are worth a read.

VertigoNun · 05/04/2016 14:42

Do you have a link to the book?

VertigoNun · 05/04/2016 15:42

Thanks I will look at the series.

RedCrab · 05/04/2016 17:00

One thing I keep wondering - how do you become a Saviour if Negan just forces other groups into servitude or kills you? How do you become part of their actual group instead of just being a fringe group controlled and terrorised by them. Like that woman the week before - the red head who Carol identified with?

rallytog1 · 05/04/2016 17:20

I would guess that if you're a community like Alexandria or Hilltop you're of most value to the Saviors if you stay as a community, because you have stuff they want. But if you're in a smaller group without any commodities other than yourselves, the Saviors may add you to their number in order to have more strength in numbers (and you'd probably see that as a more attractive prospect than them killing you).

ApocalypseNowt · 05/04/2016 18:22

I don't think the horse being shod is that weird. The horse if from the new group that Carol and Morgan went with....they all look to use horses so it makes sense that they might have a farrier to keep their transport in good order...

I think Glen got Lucilled.

On the talking dead the producer/writer bods said there were clues so at some point i'm going to rewatch the end scene and see if i can work it out. I remember in the last shot you can see a couple of saviours in the background....I'm going to try and work out who was in front of them and who was opposite iyswim. I am a saddo.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 05/04/2016 20:16

Musthe say, I'm happy to have seen an animal survive an episode.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 05/04/2016 20:16

*must

limitedperiodonly · 05/04/2016 20:26

I'm happy to have seen an animal survive an episode

Me too ElderlyKoreanLady. I'm traumatised by the end of Buttons, as well as the horse Rick was riding into Atlanta and Cheeseman's goat.

Someone's just reminded me of the tortoise that Enid ate. As far as I'm concerned, she can rot in that cupboard.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 05/04/2016 20:29

And the pack of feral dogs limited. And Daryl's possum Grin

ALemonyPea · 05/04/2016 21:12

Just watching the Talking Dead, first time I've watched it ever. Norman Reedus' voice is so much gentler IRL, wasnt expecting that.

As for the final episode, can't believe they left it like that. I hope it isn't Abe, I do like him.

8dayweek · 05/04/2016 21:20

I agree with NanoTechMum, I want to find out more about where The Saviours live.

My guess is it's a pretty large community as in the episode with Daryl in the burnt forest he kind of gets snippets out of Dwight and the women he was with and they mention something along the lines of it "starting off small" but then it grew and they "didn't know everyone there"...?

I assume Dwight's face was burnt after he was "recaptured" by The Saviours as punishment? As originally it seemed like he was trying to get away?

8dayweek · 05/04/2016 21:21

That's assuming the guys that came looking for him and the two women were Saviours and not members of yet another group!

limitedperiodonly · 05/04/2016 21:27

Daryl's possum. That would have made the perfect pet. If I didn't like him so much...

BingoBonkers · 07/04/2016 13:25

Isn't Negan a nasty but attractive piece of work?

My money is on Eugene or Abraham being Lucille'd.

From what was said on TTD even the actors don't know and won't know until they rock up to start filming S7.

How am I going to wait til October?

limitedperiodonly · 07/04/2016 14:04

Much as I'd hate to lose Glenn, I think it should be him. TWD pulls its punches in killing off major characters, in a way that GOT doesn't, and is weaker for that.

Also Glenn's murder would have the effect of galvanising Rick's family in the way that I doubt would happen with Abraham or Eugene - much less Aaron.

ILikeToClean · 07/04/2016 19:44

I wonder if the writers/producers even know! First time I watched the Talking Dead as well and thought Norman Reedus came across as quite shy and sweet! Wish I had watched every TD now.

Interesting too what they said on there about doing the final scene with all the actors really "acting" even though most of the time they were off camera, they still held their poses and stayed in character although the actual camera was on JDM.

I really don't know who it is, I keep going back and forth. Again on TTD the writer said the next season is all about the aftermath of who gets "Lucille'd" and how it affects everyone - so surely got to be an original prime member?

DangerMouth · 07/04/2016 21:30

Dh has just told me that they've filmed the first episode of next season. I had thought that maybe the cast didn't know yet so they could keep the surprise longer. I think we'll know sooner than the start of season 7 who got Lucille'd.

rallytog1 · 07/04/2016 21:38

They don't normally start the next season filming until the first weekend of May... Although I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed the first scene of s7 at the same time as the last episode.
