I see it's on Fox tonight: S6 E7
Is that us back from the mid season break, or is it a repeat of what we were watching before xmas?
(oh the waiting......)

Ooh good point. Yeah it wouldn't be Rick, much more humiliating for Rick to be spared but defeated. Just can't see it being daryl I think his fan base is so huge even they aren't daft enough to kill him off and beating Maggie to death when she's pregnant is just offensive. If it was glen wouldn't we of heard Maggie scream?

StormyLovesOdd · 04/04/2016 22:48

I thought it was a brilliant episode though really dark and the end especially was shocking and difficult to watch.

I can't remember another show where I've cared so much about the charectors, I think it's either going to be Glen or Maggie.

MargotLovedTom · 04/04/2016 22:51

It was far from boring or disappointing - I felt a bit sick with tension in the last 15 minutes. It probably says something weird about me that I've found the two main psychopaths very attractive (the Governor and now Negan).

I thInk it was Glenn or Abraham (loved his little "Come on bitch" straighten up glock) or maybe Aaron. Did wonder about Eugene but he was too far to one side?

gingerboy1912 · 04/04/2016 22:51

I'm thinking hoping it will be Eugene because as per usual he fucked up and led the saviours straight to Rick's group.

Llareggub · 04/04/2016 22:56

I think it was Eugene too. Otherwise there was no point in him telling Rick about the bullet recipe.

iklboo · 04/04/2016 23:03

JDM is always hot when he plays a psycho / twisted feck.

Meeep · 04/04/2016 23:04

I have read a few of the negative reviews now but I don't think it was a bad episode overall actually! The cliffhanger was cheap, yes.
But, seeing Rick completely losing hope, and his arrogance, at each road block, turning into panic eventually, that was really well done. You could see him looking for an escape even when they were all kneeling, and there has always been one before, but this time - nope.

iklboo · 04/04/2016 23:04

I don't think Eugene led the Saviours to Rick's group. I think they'd been stalking them & watching them all day and herded them to where they wanted them.

GinBunny · 04/04/2016 23:11

I thought it was brilliant - so tense!
It's not Rick or Carl, as PP said, Negan said about feeding Carl's eye to Rick. And I don't think it's Glenn - the chance was to do it when he went to save Maggie. As we didn't see it I don't think it is Daryl either. Tonight was about the action rather than the who - if it was a major character then that would have been the ending. I think it's Abe. He squared up to him, proved he wasn't scared. That would have been a threat to Negan in the long run. Now he's undermined Rick and taken out the threat. Don't want to wish the summer away but hurry up October!

I disagree Show - I think the impact was about the action rather than who. This is about Negan being brutal not about who dies.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 04/04/2016 23:29

I have mixed feelings. It was a good episode overall but I really think if they were planning the Negan monologue to be so long they shouldn't have left it on a cliffhanger like that. For me, that should have been an either/or because despite JDM's great acting, it got boring enough that it needed a better climax to justify it. Even if all they did was add a bit of audio to the black out with one of the characters sobbing a name.

I love TWD, I really do. But they'll end up losing fans if they carry on letting the momentum die after cliffhangers or diluting big moments like that between series.

ElderlyKoreanLady · 04/04/2016 23:33

I think the most annoying part is that we all knew the series would end on a death. We knew it would be at Negan's hands. The episode didn't give any new info about that. They're usually very good at making sure episodes add to the story. This didn't.

EachandEveryone · 04/04/2016 23:38

He's the double of Robert Downey jr. Which Dr was he in greys? The sofa is hot tonight.

That episode was fantastically tense. I feel no disappointment coz my faves are still alive I think ( Carol, Daryl, Rick, Maggie). It could be Glenn but more likely to be Aaron, Ab or Eugene. The poster who foresaw that Carol and Morgan would meet halfway after the wolves attack was totally right- their paths crossed at the end of that episode and now Carol hates killing and Morgan is prepared to. Who are
Morgan's new storm trooper allies? Hope they save the day next season. At last... Some good survivors.

gingerboy1912 · 04/04/2016 23:49

I thought the acting was great you could see and feel the desperation on Rick's face. Even daryl looked broken rather than his usual defiant stance. Negan didn't seem to ooze menace like I expected but maybe I will feel different as time goes on.

Monroe · 04/04/2016 23:56

I thought it was a fantastic episode of cat and mouse although I agree the impact of the death could be lost with such a long break before we find out who it is.

I still think Glenn, I think he "exposed" his weakness as well as his importance to the group when he jumped to Maggie's defence. Plus they teased us when we thought he died the first time.

Definitely not Coral or Rick, he wants Rick alive to tell the others what to do, he just needs to break him a little bit first.

Looking forward to seeing who Carol and Morgan are with

ILikeToClean · 05/04/2016 00:36

Just finished watching - had 3 glasses of wine to help me through - so tense! There was a lot of cursing going on by Clean!

JDM was still quite twinkly and charming even being a complete psycho! I just kept thinking what a big bad bully! Why should they do what he wants?! Drink talking obviously! I think it might be Abe just because he squared up, hope not, he gets all the good lines! It won't be Rick for reasons mentioned above...think if any of Daryl or Michonne etc they would have just killed them already. I don't want it to be any main character but if it's a more minor one then it's a cop-out I think.

Might need to rewatch. I probably missed something but I didn't know who that other Eugene guy was! When they said at the beginning they have Eugene I was really confused!

So Morgan can kill if he needs to...hopefully those two (were they military?) men seemed fairly humane so he and Carol will be ok.

Where can it go from here?

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 05/04/2016 00:45

Agree that the shock value of the gory death scene has been lost. Was a very tense episode with the cat and mouse games and Rick getting more desperate. He looked a bit defeated at the end there. So now they become like Hilltop and work for Negan until they can - what? Get away? Kill him?

Hurry up October.

rallytog1 · 05/04/2016 06:06

I feel like anyone who exposed a weakness will actually have been spared - since Negan wants them to keep working for him, he needs to keep the people who have something to lose, so they will continue to fear him. Therefore I think Rick, Carl, Maggie and Glenn are all safe. My money is on Michonne - in the Talking Dead they said the start of the next season would be about Rick's undoing, and I think losing Michonne would have the biggest impact on him and the rest of the group.

CauliflowerBalti · 05/04/2016 07:17

I knew how it ended before I watched and was prepared to be outraged - but I really enjoyed it. It was a great, tight episode and ended how it should have done, in a TV show. The comics have 'ruined' it for us in that regard. If issue 100 hasn't happened, we'd all be cool.

Rick really did pathologically crumble. I was disappointed in him. Weak leadership. ;-)

JDM perfect as Negan. Carole and Morgan ended up in a good place. No complaints here.

Speculating with my DP last night. I'm hoping no-one dies. That would be a twist. Negan says he's going to beat someone, not necessarily kill them. Unlikely, though.

He needs to show strength, so can't see it being the half-dead pregnant lady - but then it would show he has no mercy at all if he did.

If it's Daryl or Michonne I'm going to be pissed. I think Glenn.

CauliflowerBalti · 05/04/2016 07:18

Psychologically crumble. Thanks, fingers.
