I see it's on Fox tonight: S6 E7
Is that us back from the mid season break, or is it a repeat of what we were watching before xmas?
(oh the waiting......)

He's got a mulle-man bun transition happening.

I think the next we see of Carol will be the last we see of her.

Daryl no longer does it for me. His hair needs tending to and I'm disappointed that he can't drive a manual.

What a great episode. If you were watching on Fox you might have seen the trailer for Jack English. It's great.

I think that might actually be it for Carol. I have to say I much prefer the episodes without Rick.

Justyou · 21/03/2016 22:42

Could Morgan not have her in his cell? He s all for trying to redeem people from their badness, I had a thought everyone thinks she's gone but he's got to her before she left, especially as the clip showed him looking upset.

No, I doubt she's in there. She knows she'll kill for other people if she stays and she doesn't want to. I don't think she's gone full Morgan. I'd wager a bet that she'd kill and come to terms with it if someone was attacking her.

Oh I love Carol she's still my favourite in it- I know she's been awful sometimes but I think I just always loved the Carol/Daryl idea.

NanoTechMum · 22/03/2016 06:21

I think Carol has done the right thing. They were safer on the move.

Either that, or Morgan has her.

Abraham has the best lines!

QueenStromba · 22/03/2016 09:13

I spent that whole episode really worried about Denise getting eaten by walkers and, to a lesser extent, Eugene getting killed by Abraham/walkers. I'd picked the right two characters from the start and they still managed to shock me. Bravo.

EricNorthmanSucks · 22/03/2016 10:09

I just don't know that I'm buying the whole 'I can't kill anymore' stuff.

I accept that there will be times when the characters are conflicted and some will be more gung-ho than others depending on their personality and the situation in hand, but all this veering from one extreme to the other is a bit Hmm.

Carol started out so weak ( she didn't even really join the search for her own DD, sitting around crying while Rick and Daryl risked their arses), then she became Ninja-Carol without pity dispatching anyone who looked at the group sideways, and now she's pacifist Carol.

TwllBach · 22/03/2016 11:25

I was a bit disappointed by Carol's exit I have to say. I thought a big character like her deserved a better ending... but I suppose at least the door is open for a return.

That said... I think the problem that a place like Alexandria poses is that the imminent threat is sort of removed on the surface. They live in houses, have families, choose to get pregnant, make meals, have walls etc They are allowed to retain/regain their humanity to a certain extent. For intelligent women like Carol who have been pushed to extremes like she has, this means she has the chance to reflect on who she has become. She wasn't a soldier, she was a downtrodden, abused housewife who has now called perhaps 20 people. I can see how that would be a lot to come to terms with.

People like Rick, well, he was a Sheriff, used to being in charge and having to make difficult decisions. There was probably a certain amount of black and white to him anyway. Daryl was used to living under the thumb of his brother, and although obviously Rick is different, Daryl does still allow Rick to make the difficult decisions for him and just follows suit as it is usually for the good of the group. The rest of them (from what I can recall) haven't had to be as brutal as Carol.

And to be fair, having to kill Lizzy after knowing she killed her sister... that would have finished me off. So fair play to Carol for keeping it together for so long.

I just wish that it wasn't her that had to go. I had massive respect for her.

gingerboy1912 · 22/03/2016 18:46

I dont get Carole's sudden epiphany and the rosary beads Hmmshe will have to kill more surviving on her own than with Rick's group.

saoirse31 · 22/03/2016 19:24

Bloody Morgan and paula, making her think she's a monster.... Hope she's back... Tho u could accept how burning some bodies, live ones this time might have got to her...
Disappointed Denise is dead, tho what a death...

Overall thought it was v good episode, full of suspense, and as for Abe's one liners!!!!

I loved Denise's death - it was perfect. You know, if you have to die by the marauding hordes - it'd be like going down in a blaze of glory in a late night bar. There you are, vodka in hand - almost getting a standing ovation for your rousing oratory and then suddenly you feel like you're slurring your words a bit, room is spinning, did you just jab your fag in your eye?... and she's under.

Abe was brilliant. Deadpan.

Agree with gingerboy - out on your own you're going to have to do a whole lot more killing.

ILikeToClean · 22/03/2016 21:20

Yes I agree with gingerboy too, she won't survive on her own without killing, safer to stay put. It was a bit of a wishy washy exit for such a major character.

Love Abe's lines!

Poor Denise Sad

MaryPoppinsPenguins · 22/03/2016 21:21

It can't be the end of her. There's no way they would let it happen without using it for ah amazing season finale etc...

She'll be back.

KillBillHill · 22/03/2016 21:29

Can I join the thread please?

Abraham had some hilarious lines in the last episode. I think his days are numbered though. Also, Eugene is almost sexy when he's not acting like a coward...could he be in with a chance with Rosita?

I also didn't miss Rick in the last episode. I'm worried Rick and Michonne's relationship is going to make Michonne weak.

I agree, leaving doesn't stop her having to kill people. But I don't think her issue is necessarily that she has to kill. I think it's feeling obliged/depended on to kill when she's not in any immediate danger. Her list of human kills mainly consists of people who weren't actually attacking her. She does it because she knows it needs to be done and knows she's capable of doing it, whereas an awful lot of the now much larger group aren't.
