Daryls Mum kills herself
Catherine finds out that Ryan has written to TLR. All letters going into prisons are open and read. Catherine and Ryan fall out.
Catherine beats up Moaning Myrtle while she attempts to set their house on fire
Emotional scenes were one of them nearly dies and Catherine and Ryan make up.
The net closes in on that detective, leading to the next series.
Anne finds out she is pregnant

Sally Wainwright has said she's working on ideas for a third series but the green light for it would depend on viewing figures.

I'm not sure Daryl did confess to killing the prostitutes.

He said he wanted to confess something, something his mum wouldn't like, to do with the girls, and he was worried about DNA.

I think he was going to confess to using prostitutes (which he knew his mum wouldn't like), and he was worried that the police would arrest the wrong man (again, as his mother pointed out).

Then his mum leapt to the wrong conclusion (she brought it up, and he was horrified she would think that), and it all spiralled from there.

Is next week the last one? I'm sure there's more to Neil.

I think Ryan will be the one to turn Frances from hurting Catherine.

Loving this , saw first three. Then hot first series on DVD as missed first time do been having gory/nail biting blast! Thought guy at farm was the poor pathetic guy that thugs were kicking about? Seems funny that he couldn't fight back to them but then violent kill all the women.

What did Dave is it say when she arrested him outside the pub something like "I knew you knew first time you saw me" I'm place bet she' gets hold of video footage and something clicks with that.

Copper guy has to mess up the clever DI will make push over the killing not being the same and his sudden relief/terror.

He did lash out though Akire. He attacked them in last weeks episode. A murderer wouldnt want to show a violent personality would he?

I couldn't hear what Darylyl and his Mum were saying. The sound is terrible.
I think Sarah Lancashire is a brilliant actress but she does mumble.

And yes, I suspect Daryl's confession doesn't actually mean the serial murder case is over yet. I was also waiting for a second gunshot but there's more drama to be had when his mother discovers the truth.

The schoolroom scene was yuck. But at least we can be sure Frances wants Ryan safe. Guess the sleepover will happen next week. So odd that Catherine's expecting a firebomb over the road.

I did like Ann and Daniel chatting on the steps - they were so relaxed and gentle together.

Poor Claire - Neil's looking much more likely now.

I now watch it with the subtitles on because it's so inaudible in places.

The traffickers are a plot device to have Catherine sleeping in the conservatory and vulnerable to/save the house from a petrol bomb (as prepared this week)

I don't understand why people are doubting Daryl confessed

I heard him confessing to something but it could just have been shagging prostitutes. His mother might have jumped to the same conclusion as you - perhaps she couldn't understand a word either.

That's what I think whatami as they mum and Darryl seem creepy as fuck and mum said they'd had a strange sort of life - I thought maybe they've covered for Neil before and that's why she immediately thought Darryl was a killer - following in his dad's footsteps

I also think Frances could turn out to be his sister and Neils daughter - maybe turned to religion to try and appease her guilt but drawn to TLR as he's as twisted as her father

I believed he confessed to killing the prostitutes. he had a claw hammer in his car after all.
we will never know though
but I didn't think the other Harry potter actor had done it.

I heard Daryl say yes he'd hurt someone when she asked him but he didn't hurt anyone with the car. She asked him if it was anything to do with the women and he says 'what if it was'. Then she broke down in tears and and asked him why and he said he didn't know. In the next scene she asks again 'are you sure it was you?' , he says yes then asked him if he heard voices and he said no.

And would he really agree go on the run if he was only shagging prostitutes?

To have the killer mystery go on to next week would mean a very busy finale which I don't think would happen. I expect the main focus next week will be Catherine vs Frances.

Who did Ann shag? Was it just a random or a character we know. I missed a bit at the start.

Can't wait to see next weeks when Catherine catches up with Moaning Myrtle.
