I might be wrong as I can't remember in S1 there being any reference to any DNA evidence that TLR is Ryan's dad, but after something said tonight - that Sean was prosecuted a few years ago for having sex with a 14 yr old - I'm starting to wonder if Sean might be his dad?

The guy who plays Neil was in a film I watched many times as a teenager, called, Dancing thru the dark. Set in Liverpool and centred around a hen/stag night. He plays a famous pop star whose first love was the bride to be. It also has Mark Womark as the best man.

Francis is beyond irritating and where the hell is that accent supposed to be from ?

Bloody hell she is creepy and irritating and deluded past the point of dimness.

So she should kill C to stop Ryan getting the "wrong messages" about his dad. Then he'll live with her sister presumably. So she has to be killed too, more "wrong messages" and added grief, then his uncle who also lives there now.

Ryan is pretty open about everything anyone says to him (though he did hide his letter to TLR) so hopefully he will tell Catherine more about Creepy TA talking to him about TLR.

One of the police chiefs was asking John about why his phone no was in Vickys phone in today's episode - not sure why he didn't think of deleting it?

He might have deleted some of the calls/the address book record but not all of them? Plus of course the phone company records will still be there (his boss may have said "in her phone" to mean "called by her phone"). I thought his boss was churning the cogs over the extensiveness of the phone company records versus John's insistence it was only a few calls right after the fraud investigation.

Shirley Henderson's breathy, ants in her pants, shizz is irritating me. Although that is her default mode in everything!

I want Catherine to have a LTR with ?Neville? (Father of the PCSO who was kidnapped in series 1)

I also think it's the lad at the farm who is the serial killer.

Just caught up. Poor little Ryan Simpering Shirley Henderson is giving me the creeps.

I think john would have done better to fake horror and shock when he saw the body then tell his boss he had had an affair with her. That would account for hairs, prints, phone records everything. Surely, that would have been the clever thing to do.

The evidence on the phone would still incriminate him, though. In the first episode she sent him a threatening text about coming to his house, all his contacts she downloaded, and then there's the photo's. The police will find it all.

This crossed my mind too. Nevison is very sweet but he's nowhere near dishy enough for our Catherine She could do loads better

I'm no Shirley Henderson fan but I think her simpering actually works quite well in this role. The prison scenes are fantastic. James Norton is really brilliant and gorgeous

I could barely cope with how gorgeous James Norton is in the first series - and that was before War & Peace. Now I can't cope at all

Greenwood, did you watch the first series of Grantchester? He's LOVELY in that. It starts again this week, I think.
