That's what I thought Kiwi. I don't think the standard is as high this year as in previous years, so perhaps that's why they've delayed the two-dance stage.

Just signing in, have been away for the weekend and MISSED Saturday night. Just caught the DO, and both of them were amazing. I am not a fan of Helen, but was still surprised to see her go.

ell. A friend texted me this eve saying Helen had gone out. And I hadn't even seen Saturday's sahow, so that was a surprise... Gah.

Anyway, my tuppence worth?
I loved Anita's dance tonight - intent, drama, timing, pace - loved it.

Liked Kellie, but not much dance content.

Liked Helen, but hate her awful grimaces angry face. She's meant to be an actress, but her acting lets her down every time.

Georgia's dance was pretty and ok. But didn't like it nearly as much as Jay's.

Jay was fab. Great dance. Love him!

Well, I thought DD was upset when Jamelia left but the loss of Helen left her sobbing ('my vote didn't count, I have no favourites left'). Not looking forward to ITT tomorrow night ...

I am possibly the only one pleased that Anton has got a bit further in the competition this year, and I like Katie. I thought Anita would be toast as her legwork was really not up to scratch - I think Gleb put a bit too much into the routine this week 'cos she's normally fab.

It should have been Anita who went. She danced the worse. Her feet looked in danger of coming off at 1 point.
But obv the public are voting for gleb her so she stays.

No - the only extra they do is the occasional "danceathon".

The damn teapot distracted us from G&G dance! Abbey Clancy was in the DO and managed to win, so hopefully Georgia will be able to dust it off and come back fighting. I also think that people thought she was "safe" and didn't vote for her as much.
Next week is semi final so only one cannot make it to the final. If it's Katie in the dance off I think the judges will send her home regardless of who the other celeb is. But if Katie isn't in the DO (and I don't think she will be) I think they'll be another shock exit next week.

Thanks for the new thread. I like them all. I liked Helen's dance, maybe the music, not her face.

With Anita, she is not a dancer or an actress, but I think she can put on a very watchable show. With Gleb of course.

I didn't get Katie's dance this week, or Kellie's but I do like them both.

So exciting now.

Fid I agree re; GG in danger zone as voters thought she was safe - I just also thought that dance was dull as ditch water Grin

In fairness it should have been Anita to go this week if we were going simply in dancing ability. I really can't make my mind up about Gleb.

Do you think the tall blond bloke might be a pro next year? He was in the opening pro dance, he was the candelabra in Georgia's dance (not that that routine showed off his skill) and he was one of the dancers in Anita's Blackpool Paso. I thought he was really good in Blackpool.

No, me too. He's also become less annoying as the weeks roll by. Less comedy mugging. So I suspect he really is genuinely excited. He's always at his loudest when he's got nothing to lose, but now he's positively low key!

I find it rather endearing he still cares after all these years and all the turkeys he's been paired with.

I'd quite like Anita to get to the final. If only to see whatever showdance she does, as you know it will be ridiculously over the top. Also Gleb might take his clothes off....

I think Katie will have a normal waltz next week - hasn't she already done a VW earlyish-on?

Was surprised that Jay & Aliona went for Charleston instead of samba for their last Latin dance.

I also thought they did two dances earlier on, but checked the last couple of years and they don't until the semis (not including -athons and "dance fusion" weeks). The first 40 wasn't given till the semis last year either.

The sexiest thing I have ever seen on TV was Anita putting Gleb's jacket on in the paso. They need to be in the final so I can leer see it again.

I'm pleased that Anita went through as I have enjoyed her dances the most this serious so that's why she gets my vote. Some of the best dancing can also be the dullest (G&G's dance this weekend IMO), I want new and exciting choreography which is danced well and I feel Anita fits this even if she isn't the most technically brilliant.

I'd like to see Katie go as I find her a bit awkward to watch and out of hold she looks uncomfortable, I think she was lucky this weekend that she had a dance where she was in hold!

I think they started doing two dances earlier than the semis several years ago when they only had 10 contestants. Now they have so many they just haven't got time to do it.

I only saw the second half this week but I did vote for Anita, purely because I like her. Naughty when I didn't even see her dance. Grin I normally vote for Georgia but didn't when I saw she was second top and thought she'd be okay. Oops!

Anita looked like she couldn't keep up with the music too. She's my favourite but unless she dances better next week she'll be gone.

Choreography-wise, I think Giovanni is playing it safe, 1st series for him & wasn't he ticked off by Len earlier in the run? Hope G & G make the final but reckon he'll have to do something less safe to make it stand out.

Gleb does his own thing regardless but am not sure it suits Anita.

Be happy never to see that teapot again.
