...but how will we cope without Martin? Without his warmth and humour won't it be a bit bleak?

OP posts:

Wow, the gap in his teeth seems enormous when he's being interview, but less noticeable in the bridge. Weird that.

RomComPhooey · 16/12/2015 23:04

Milky murky aurora at Abisko last night.

Ha, I thought Finnish looked wrong (dyslexic here so iPad makes my spelling choices)

It is Linn, I feel it in my water.

Nice Aurora RomCom, did you take that?

SquareRootOfPie · 16/12/2015 23:08

Here's what it sounds like to my ear

Swedish is like Danish with a Cork accent
Danish is like Swedish with a London accent
Norwegian is Danish with a Cardiff accent.
Forstar? God

SquareRootOfPie · 16/12/2015 23:09

Wow! That's where you live romcom?

RomComPhooey · 16/12/2015 23:15

Oh bollocks! Wrong thread. There is an 'Armchair Aurora Watching' thread in the weather topic - we have lots of webcams and skycams in the far north bookmarked in the OP and keep an eye on them of a gloomy winter's evening, switching to southern hemisphere cameras in the summer months.

RomComPhooey · 16/12/2015 23:18

I am in the UK, and not far enough north to see the lights here - hence the armchair hobby. Abisko is in the far north (arctic circle) Sweden & notable for its dark skies & excellent. If I had £5k to drop on a short break, I'd take my DH & boys in a heartbeat.

Tirfarthoin · 16/12/2015 23:24

I have a Norwegian friend who insists that he can't understand a word of Danish because they "talk like they have potatoes in their mouths". I can sort of see what he means so I would say Danish is more the northern Irish accent, Norwegian sounds more like the lovely cork accent which leaves Swedish as a bit Cardiffian.

Keep posting RomCom! Can never have too much Aurora Grin

Holstein · 16/12/2015 23:29

Tirfar- I agree with your Norwegian friend. Danish sounds as though they have marbles in their mouths!

RomComPhooey · 16/12/2015 23:38

Tirfar - drop by the aurora thread. I don't know if we have lurkers, but we could do with more of us posting.

Wasn't the art collection originally Claes's before he lost it to Freddie? Maybe that's why the murderer is making a point about the art... oh I don't know. I still can't understand why Freddie himself hasn't been targeted!

Hissy · 17/12/2015 07:41

The art collection belonged to Claes, when he transferred his half of the business to Freddie when his alcoholism got the better of him, the art went with it.

Freddie apparently sold the company off and cheated Claes out of proportions of the profit.

The art too was transferred to Freddie who kept it.

Claes' wife Ã…sa left him and married Freddie.

When Ã…sa confessed about her fake pg, Claes went to the press and exposed her lies and Freddie's, to hurt him.

I wonder now if Ã…sa will be a no longer be a target now that the pg is revealed as fake, after all, he got the image from tha paparazzo and drove off. I think the baby is the target for the guy in the yellow car. All done to hurt Freddie, at any expense. In any event, Marc is dead and Jeanette is missing.

And the centrepiece of the art exhibition is a baby.

NeverEverAnythingEver · 17/12/2015 07:48

There is a weather board!? >

MadFestiveGnome · 17/12/2015 08:04

Everything points to someone who hates Freddie, i.e. Claes, but he's not linked to the other murders. Unless he was doing all the rest for Annika, but that's unlikely seeing as he can't stand her.

Hangingbasket14 · 17/12/2015 08:12

Just had a thought, Whoever the murderer is is the illegitimate child of Freddie. They are targeting his new baby as he presumably gave up the illegitimate child and it looks like they are being 'replaced'. The child is either Emil/Annika or someone else who ended up at the foster family......

SquareRootOfPie · 17/12/2015 08:16

eh, nice word there. illegitimate A status that is literally irrelevant in a legal sense now, in most countries, unless the child is in line for a title. But possibly a child that Freddie didn't acknowledge would feel bitter but in Denmark would only have to take a DNA test to be acknowledged as 'an' heir (but maybe not sole heir). One of the pieces in the collection that was Freddies was called De Perfekte Familie which could piss off an adult child he hadn't acknowledged.

Hangingbasket14 · 17/12/2015 08:22

Sorry, couldn't think of a better word to describe a child that had been ignored/conceived on the sly/put up for adoption/fostered etc but you get the gist. Will almost certainly be wrong as I've failed to identify the culprit in the first two series'!

Holstein · 17/12/2015 08:52

I think you have it, hanging basket!
That would make total sense. However, it would have to be a very young adult, surely? Freddie is only about 40.

Hangingbasket14 · 17/12/2015 09:07

Holstein, your right Emil is pretty young though. We know little about Freddie's family but maybe it's too late to introduce another suspect with only two hours to go......

RomComPhooey · 17/12/2015 09:08

It's possible Annika got pregnant by one of the boys in foster care - it says they all meted out harsh treatment to the ones below them in the pecking order, in which case the 'child' could be one of the 20 somethings. Maybe Jeanette?

Hangingbasket14 · 17/12/2015 09:11

RomCom, that could be it too. The one thing I can't work out though is how Hans is involved and why he wasn't killed like the others?. I am pretty sure that this one hinges on family/children but just can't really connect the dots.

RomComPhooey · 17/12/2015 09:11

NeverEver - one of OYBBK's weather forecasting threads (Christmas Weather) has been bobbing around in Active recently. You could use that as a shortcut to the weather folder.

RomComPhooey · 17/12/2015 09:14

I've just thought - does Saga's close relationship with Hans link back to her own child protection case in her teens? Perhaps he was a key officer investigating cases. Perhaps (gulp) he is implicated in exploiting vulnerable children during that time.

Hangingbasket14 · 17/12/2015 09:17

That would be awful but might be right, I had a horrible feeling that Hans having his hands cut off would mean he had been up to something awful. If that's the case it would be the final straw for Saga.

Holstein · 17/12/2015 10:04

Romcom- Annika is younger than Emil! Any child she may have had would be 10 max. T
