a cave!
looks damp and cold so far.
but interesting.

Igneococcus · 30/09/2015 21:13

I like his father.

Tarzanlovesgaby · 30/09/2015 21:32

I'm not convinced yet that it will be a proper home. but we shall see.

Igneococcus · 30/09/2015 21:36

I've been to Matera.
I so hope it works out for him, I really like everyone involved.

VulcanWoman · 30/09/2015 21:55

Absolutely fantastic. Best one so far, looks really cosy.
Kevin can speak fluent Italian and French.

SwedishEdith · 30/09/2015 21:55

Oh, it's lovely.

Ubik1 · 30/09/2015 21:56

It's lovely isn't it

Tarzanlovesgaby · 30/09/2015 21:57

love the shower! I want one like that.

Ubik1 · 30/09/2015 21:58

I love white walls and wood

Igneococcus · 30/09/2015 21:58

It's really nice isn't it?

SwedishEdith · 30/09/2015 21:59

Yes, can't beat white walls and wood. Never dates.

RingDownRingUp · 30/09/2015 22:03

What a wonderful, inspirational house! Such a contrast to last week's GD.

The only thing that I wondered about was whether or not he had a washing machine? I couldn't see where one would fit?

Behooven · 30/09/2015 22:04

Probably gets his mum to do it!

Tarzanlovesgaby · 30/09/2015 22:21

it looks more like a holiday home than a home. still nice.

Pipbin · 30/09/2015 23:41

I did look lovely but I think it would take a certain kind of person to live there full time. There was nowhere for his children to sleep. Lovely as a holiday/summer home.
Does anyone else think that the trip to Italy was so Kevin could show off his Italian?

chickensaresafehere · 01/10/2015 08:31

Oh it redeemed itself this week!
Really loved it & he came in under budget, what a contrast to last week.
Kevin really loved it too, like someone upthread said, you can tell when he likes a GD & when he doesn't.And he definitely wanted to show off his italian & was enjoying all the alfresco food & drink!

dillite · 01/10/2015 18:32

Last nights episode was lovely! I really enjoyed the it and everyone involved was very likeable. The cave in the end was lovely- I would love to stay there. Once it has dried out.

InimitableJeeves · 03/10/2015 07:05

I read an interview with KMcC somewhere where he said he dreamed of eventually finding a Grand Design where the project came in on time and under budget. He must have loved this one.

Tarzanlovesgaby · 07/10/2015 21:29

pregnant housebuilder - tick
small budget - tick
tricky design - tick

looks interesting!

Tarzanlovesgaby · 07/10/2015 21:54

I like the 'whale ribcage'

SwedishEdith · 07/10/2015 21:58

God, the view is fantastic. This couple seem pretty normal and quite nice.

Pipbin · 07/10/2015 23:04

They were lovely. The house wasn't anything special but then they like it.

MelanieCheeks · 07/10/2015 23:15

For the money, that's quite something! I know the area well and the views are indeed stunning.

dillite · 08/10/2015 11:11

I really liked last night's couple. And there didn't seem to be too much drama regarding whether the bank will give them money/ will it not. And they made Northern Ireland look nice and sunny! Not sure about the bedroom facing the road, although how much traffic is there?

ademanlu · 08/10/2015 20:52

there isn't an awful lot of traffic on that road as it runs parallel to the main coast road - views are stunning!
