Oooh, Moshammer pipbin I have seen his grave, it's beyond tacky.

quangotango · 12/09/2015 20:08

I actually love this house and would love to live there. I can't imagine my kids in there though. I thought it was a bit sad how they referred to it as dads house when they are supposed to live their 3 days a week.

Konserve · 16/09/2015 21:13

novice architect - tick
excentric builder - tick

but the design looks nice so far.

'Only' £300,000 allowed by the trustees....on land he already owns, presumably. Hmm. I'm sure a lot of people would be delighted with 'only' that much to build a house.....

Pipbin · 16/09/2015 21:22

I've got little sympathy with a man whose 'problems' are that he has inherited a fuck ton of money and shoved it up his nose, spends his life pissing about in boats and then gets given land to build a house on.

Konserve · 16/09/2015 21:26

400k could nearly buy you a 3bed place in london.

He's got a flat in London too!

BobandKate0 · 16/09/2015 21:35

And a caravan,that sleeps six.

Konserve · 16/09/2015 21:54

I like it. especially the wood of the roof and the hearth tiles.

Love it but very close to the pylons.

InimitableJeeves · 16/09/2015 22:40

Pipbin, when do you suggest he was asking for sympathy?

InimitableJeeves · 16/09/2015 22:41

Where???? Assuming you mean by that a 3 bed place that isn't a hovel?

Pipbin · 16/09/2015 22:54

Pipbin, when do you suggest he was asking for sympathy?

I don't think he was by Kevin talk about his problems in his youth.

Pipbin · 16/09/2015 22:54

*but Kevin - not by Kevin

Igneococcus · 17/09/2015 06:56

I would have liked a crow's nest too. Loved the tiles.
There was so much disdain showing through for people who live all their lives in houses and are so petit bourgois as to value storage space. I started out quite liking him and then got more and more annoyed about that.

InimitableJeeves · 18/09/2015 16:44

I liked the house though if I lived there I'd definitely need a lot more storage space. But I could quite relate to that idea of sitting on the loo gazing at the view.

again.. astounded as to how they got planning permission for that site.

Tarzanlovesgaby · 23/09/2015 13:27

there was a building on the site before.

Tarzanlovesgaby · 23/09/2015 21:12

another modern glass box.
and big.

dillite · 23/09/2015 21:16

Tonight's looks like another twattish project.

dillite · 23/09/2015 21:17

Yeeesh, it's fucking huge! It's like an entire housing estate.

dillite · 23/09/2015 21:18

What's with the life and death references?

That pool must take hours to fill up.

Tarzanlovesgaby · 23/09/2015 21:20

will the money run out?

queribus · 23/09/2015 21:23

The architect was on Grand Designs himself in 2010. I think this programme has finally disappeared up its own arse. It's their dime, but the money being splashed around is a bit distasteful. It's a house for 4 people ffs
