Following on from the first thread (we were getting a bit short on space!).

Pastry week next - it's time for the dreaded soggy bottoms!

OP posts:

At least Ian can't prettify Victorian cooking with artistically placed edible flowers. Mrs Beeton would be spinning in her grave.

CakeNinja · 16/09/2015 13:04

I normally watch and my mouth waters, I add ingredients to my online shop as its on, plan what I'm going to make and then just feel really hungry!
I dont think this will be happening tonight ??

squoosh · 16/09/2015 15:01

Calves liver in aspic perhaps?

Yum!

squoosh · 16/09/2015 15:03

Squoosh there's room for many mitts, he's tall too !!!!!!

ppeatfruit I will be most generous and permit you to lay your mitts upon an imaginary Marcus!

ppeatfruit · 16/09/2015 15:11

Cor thanks squoosh Flowers Grin I got me mitts washed specially Grin

Hellokitty105 · 16/09/2015 15:23

I was expecting Victorian sponge cake at the very least!

RebootYourEngine · 16/09/2015 17:39

So who do we think will leave this week? I have no idea. I quite like all of those left. Ian is probably my least favourite though.

CharlotteCollins · 16/09/2015 17:56

I think it will be Matt. I like Matt because he had a red nose, like I do.

And I like Ian because he doesn't come across very well and I'm like that too! Grin

But I like the others more. I don't want Tamal or Nadiya or Paul to leave. They're all awesome. Is that all of them now?!

squoosh · 16/09/2015 17:59

I need Ian to stay so I can continue to roll my eyes at him and his guinea fowl eggs.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/09/2015 18:33

I think it will be Paul. Or Flora.

Roussette · 16/09/2015 19:52

Phew! I've been away and just caught up on the last two episodes and ready for tonight... sorry to see Alvin go, I thought he was a sweetie!

Igneococcus · 16/09/2015 19:59

I do all my baking with my own quail eggs, take that Ian!

GrouchyKiwi · 16/09/2015 20:02

They had really good frogs? Confused

RebootYourEngine · 16/09/2015 20:03

Frocks. Grouchy. Smile

squoosh · 16/09/2015 20:04

Game pie sounds deeeee-licious.

I'd have made a good portly Victorian.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/09/2015 20:04

That makes more sense! Grin Blush

GrouchyKiwi · 16/09/2015 20:05

I hate game. All game. Boar is almost edible. This is not my night.

CrotchetQuaverMinim · 16/09/2015 20:06

yes I was wondering about the frogs too!!

Liked the singing to start with.

I do find it odd that they have this very fixed idea of exactly what they want, but won't say so. The better mind-readers do best! Or maybe better at researching.

Roussette · 16/09/2015 20:07

I've made a raised pie (about the ONLY thing on GBBO I can do!) I made it for a big party and I now do one for Christmas. It will look nothin like these pies though it looked a mess to be frank but tasted OK

squoosh · 16/09/2015 20:07

Can't believe Mary hadn't heard of ras el hanout.

Get with the North African programme Maz!

Roussette · 16/09/2015 20:08

Can't stand game. Mine was chicken and pork.

squoosh · 16/09/2015 20:09

Game is luscious, love all the hearty flavours.

NoelHeadbands · 16/09/2015 20:10

Roadkill.

Right.

GrouchyKiwi · 16/09/2015 20:10

The way they're talking about the Victorians makes me wonder what they'll say about us in 100 years.

squoosh · 16/09/2015 20:11

It's all so Pickwick Papers, they were always scoffing pies in that book.
