Bakingaddict I agree about Brendan's creations looking a bit dated but his savoury Pithiviers recipe is gorgeous. DS went through a baking phase and this was one of the stars, with complex layers of flavours. Quite a lot of work though.

Do you know I don't give a shit about anything being dated esp. if it tastes and looks good!

I prefer 'dated' to food being served in jamjars or on slates actually!

I loved Brendan's bluebird gingerbread house....the first time something fun was done on gbbo as far as I can remember.

Trills What if it's hot on Saturday but then cold on Sunday? good point -no idea! Although judging by GBBO3 that I'm rewatching this week (recorded from the food channel) it was constantly wet & windy.
