Oh I love this. Never seen it before.
The bride sounds like Caroline Ahearne in the Royle. Family.

OK forgive me being on repeats but the Blackpool guy. Young guy not uses to using computers in this day and age? How odd

Haggisfish · 16/09/2015 21:33

Good lord-just watching the superhero one. What an absolutely bloody awful mother!!!

EachandEveryone · 17/09/2015 21:07

I didn't know what to think of the bride tonight. She was pretty miserable but she had never even kissed him before.

areyoubeingserviced · 17/09/2015 21:18

Agree that she was miserable.
The Nigerian part of the wedding was beautiful.
I think that they may be Born Again Christians ; which explains the lack of intimacy.

Lightbulbon · 20/09/2015 12:33

She so wanted a 'big fat Nigerian wedding' as she repeatedly called it!

She did look quite melancholy throughout the whole event though.

mazylou · 21/09/2015 12:37

If they were such devout Christians, why not get married in their regular church?

lastqueenofscotland · 25/09/2015 20:32

Anyone watching the one that's on now?! Under bloody water?!

MackerelOfFact · 25/09/2015 21:06

The underwater one was bad, just caught the second half. The bride looked horrifying with her make-up on, she seemed to have gone for the full-on drag Queen look. When she got out the pool and it had washed off she looked gorgeous, but all she cared about was her hair and make-up. Once she'd had it all redone she looked frightful again. Just weird.

She did seem nice and was obviously besotted with him but I wish someone had told her she was a pretty girl and the hair and make-up didn't suit her one bit.

CalliopeTorres · 26/09/2015 11:51

Romeo and Juliet? Wtf is the MOB wearing?

NoisyOyster · 26/09/2015 15:23

Anyone else getting the hump that this new series they can all do weird n wacky "weddings" that aren't actually legal then have a quick registry office at the end? So far all of series 9 have had registries tacked on the last 2 mins of the show

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 26/09/2015 15:29

I'd guess that's part of the point. I bet the production company are pushing them for increasingly bonkers ideas and don't want to be limited by having to have legal ceremonies.

NoisyOyster · 26/09/2015 15:41

Humph

(I'm such a sour puss) Grin make 'em do it properly!!

fussy madam

lastqueenofscotland · 28/09/2015 20:13

Anyone watching the one on now?!

lastqueenofscotland · 28/09/2015 20:53

I'm
Obviously a bit over tired cause I've loved this one... And cried.

RozTheSchnoz · 29/09/2015 20:45

Anyone watching tonight? Can't believe the shop sold him that dress in that state!

CalliopeTorres · 01/10/2015 13:40

Aww just watched the survivalist wedding, I thought it was quite sweet although the dress did nowt for her boobs, I thought there were going to be alterations done?

dillite · 01/10/2015 19:16

Throughout the episode I kept thinking- what the fuck is he doing? Why would you plan a camping wedding in October in Scotland? It must have been bloody freezing, certainly looked it.

notquitehuman · 02/10/2015 16:57

I felt sorry for the family members on last night's episode. I wouldn't be happy about being bundled on a coach with kids, only to have the journey take 12 hours. And to then have to sleep in a tent with bedding donated by the local charity shop, which presumably wasn't washed. Eww.

Lightbulbon · 02/10/2015 19:41

I'm watching it now.

Does she have no friends to go dress shopping with?

Didn't like that the groom slammed the door on the bridesmaids.

And the pregnancy/ultrasound thing doesn't ring true. The scan looked c 12 weeks so the pregnancy couldn't have been a complete surprise and its v quick to have a scan within 3 weeks of finding out.

He also seems a lot older than her so if they've been together 11 years she must have been a teen and him around 30 which is IMO a bit eww.

I'm getting fed up of dttb it was so scripted what she was saying about the rain in the stately home!

Katie2001 · 07/10/2015 14:59

They are re-running the first series on YourTV, it was so much nicer then (but I guess not so much 'car crash' potential as there is now).

notquitehuman · 08/10/2015 12:02

I saw one of the repeats and it was a lovely seaside wedding in a marquee. If that'd been the current series they would have made the bride climb the cliffs in her wedding dress or some stupid shit.

squoosh · 15/10/2015 20:45

Bloody hell.

The bride in tonight's episode doesn't like the dress. From her reaction you'd swear they told her she was being brought to the gallows in the morning.

squoosh · 15/10/2015 20:46

'no words can describe how she's feeling' apparently.

Zzzzzzz.

EachandEveryone · 15/10/2015 23:44

I liked the dress. There was a lot of blabbing all round.

Narp · 16/10/2015 06:47

I don't think I have ever described anything as 'stunning' before, but someone says it every week on DTTB.
