Oh I love this. Never seen it before.
The bride sounds like Caroline Ahearne in the Royle. Family.

Another big kid tonight.

notquitehuman · 26/08/2015 22:11

That was quite a cute wedding. She seemed pretty into the silly theme, so I think it worked out pretty well.

Next week - Eastenders themed wedding? What the fuckity?

BumpAndGrind · 27/08/2015 00:29

What was the track played in the last couple of minutes of tonight's episode?

Haggisfish · 30/08/2015 20:00

Aaaw-I loved the fishing one!!

Katie2001 · 01/09/2015 15:18

I keep the Lauren and Perry one on the Tivo box, so whenever I think there's no such thing as love, I can watch it and prove myself wrong.

notquitehuman · 02/09/2015 21:19

Eastenders wedding! Haha this could be amazing.

CakeNinja · 02/09/2015 21:25

Wtf? This bloke is a tool.
Basing his entire wedding on a shit soap? Confused

Rhinosaurus · 02/09/2015 21:27

What's with the bride's mate only wearing those strange cut out shoulder tops??!! Grin

CakeNinja · 02/09/2015 21:28

On another note though, how bland and boring are wedding dresses?!

CakeNinja · 02/09/2015 21:47

And the bridemaids look like mothers of the brides Shock
Bargain basement shite.
Nice to see he had a good relationship with them both though.

I really hate this part with the dress though, they may as well add in a clause to the programme to say "but the bride can choose whatever dress they like." Every week this happens!

Am I the only person watching?!

notquitehuman · 02/09/2015 21:49

Why are they basically letting some brides choose their dresses, but not others? They all basically look the same anyway.

Agree that her friend's cold shoulder tops are horrible! They often do that design in plus size ranges and it looks cheap and awful.

DowntownFunk · 02/09/2015 21:53

I'm watching though just switched on at the bridesmaids trying on their hideous dresses.

Why are they allowed to change dresses now?

Katie2001 · 03/09/2015 09:21

They very occasionally used to hate their dress and ask to change it, the answer was sometimes yes, sometimes no. I used to love DTTB but I switched off last night's in the end.

DowntownFunk · 03/09/2015 10:32

Also the BMs went along to the shop to help choose their dresses before. Now it seems the groom and best man do that.

Those cheap mother of the bride efforts the groom bought last night were hideous. Though it has to be said both women did look like the bride's mother. They were very negative too. They seemed to revel in making the bride anxious.

Eastenders theme though? Not for me. It was grim, especially the Babs Windsor lookalike and her singing.

CakeNinja · 03/09/2015 11:14

The babs singing was so cringey, as was the addition of joe swash Shock

The dress bit is just irritating. If it's your dream to do xyz, just pay for it yourself else shut up and accept its not your choice. That's the entire point of the whole show.

notquitehuman · 03/09/2015 11:28

The Eastenders theme aside, it could have been a nice wedding. The square where they had the ceremony was lovely. I didn't know you could hire those spaces. The pub was also decorated quite nicely and it looked like he'd put a lot of effort in.

Next week looks like a crazy MIL one, Yay!

dillite · 03/09/2015 21:40

That was such a weird and random theme. And there's no way they got that actor for free- as before asking him he only had £1k left. BBC must have paid his massive appearance fee. Or it's in his BBC contract to do appearances for BBC programmes.

That wedding dress shop usually has some lovely dresses in the window, but all the ones they showed were so dull and boring. There's another shop higher up the high street that also has beautiful gowns in its windows. I also don't like how they are allowed to pick and choose their own dresses.

Those pies looked undercooked.

Why do brides always want some grand country house venue? And how on earth did they get Leeds Castle empty of people? I have been there a lot, and often the wedding party just gets to mingle with the visitors with only some parts being cordoned off to the public.

EachandEveryone · 04/09/2015 21:15

What annoys me is the fact that the budget would hardly cover the cost of the stately homes these brides all seem to want. And they must know that.

EachandEveryone · 04/09/2015 21:16

Where in Middlesex is that dress shop?

dillite · 04/09/2015 22:57

No idea. But why would you even travel that far from Kent? Surely there are plenty of wedding dress shops over here without needing to go to Middlesex, wherever that is, to try on some underwhelming dresses.

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 04/09/2015 23:18

The brides are never that bothered in the end when they don't get the "venue of their dreams", though, are they?

And surely if they were that desperate for a specific place they'd plot with the groom to make sure they got it. I think the TV company just push them to pick some random nice place in the local area & say the right things.

OutToGetYou · 04/09/2015 23:26

I love the dress bit best. They hate it, they cry and stamp their feet and then insist on a different one which looks exactly the same!

Agree re this weeks bridesmaids, they were miserable cows. And where did their new dresses suddenly appear from?

DowntownFunk · 07/09/2015 20:33

Anyone watching tonight?

EmpressKnowsWhereHerTowelIs · 08/09/2015 08:35

Started watching, but I couldn't stand the best man any longer. Although the bride was nearly as annoying.

DowntownFunk · 08/09/2015 12:50

The best man was very needy, I thought.

The bride reminded me of Kate McCann for some reason.
