Have only just started watching this and can't believe I've missed it up to now, it's FANTASTIC! I'm about ten episodes into first season. Does it get even better?

Also, if I like this (and loved Breaking Bad), what else would I like?

My verdict on S3:
Piper is annoying and/or a dick for most if not all of the season
LOVED how much we saw of Crazy Eyes (sorry, Suzanne!) and how her character is developing. Best actress of them all, I reckon. And the erotica storyline was genuinely entertaining
Also loved the friendship between Boo and Pennsatucky (but poor Pennsatucky )
The Norma storyline got SO BORING AND ANNOYING
Leanne's back story was surprising and interesting. But it doesn't match up with how one-dimensional she seems to be in prison.
Caputo and Fig: WHY?! Too wrong and too icky.
Morello is completely crazy (LEAVE CHRISTOPHER ALONE) but I'm glad she's found love, and I'm hoping there is hope for her
Last episode: what's with the "happy ending" while Sophia's still stuck in the SHU and Alex is being murdered FFS?!
And last but not least... Red and Healy?! Really?! Can we place bets on whether anything will happen between them in S4??

When Morello read the Foreigner lyrics as a poem I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Loved this series. Can't believe it's over. Piper is so irritating now though. I much prefer watching the other characters

I am interested to see the inmates' reactions when they come back and discover that their numbers have doubled.

I hope Nicky returns next season.

Season 3 had far too much stuff about religion, and I didn't like the fact that the flashbacks were so short and so frequent.

I think I enjoyed this season more than season 2 which I just found dull, but I didn't like everything.

I'm another who thinks Ruby Rose/Stella is overrated by Buzzfeed etc, with all that build up I at least thought she'd be a significant part of the show!!

I'm so unhappy about Nicky going to SHU!! I think she's one of the most popular characters - definitely my favourite. I still love Red. "life is better in black and white. And Red!" I think she's great. But I found the Healy think so unnecessary.

And Pennsatucky's storyline broke my heart - especially knowing it's the life of so many other women. Think her friendship with Boo is really positive.

I don't give two shits about Leanne, Norma or Morello.

I liked it. As always though I kind of feel I need to watch the whole three series back to back to form a proper opinion.

Didn't especially like the Norma storyline, and I must have missed the bit where Stella was introduced - all of a sudden she was in the sewing room talking to Piper?! I would have been more confused if I wasn't a Buzzfeed reader.

I loved Pennsatucky and Boo this season. And I really liked Daya's story as well. Her anguish over choosing her baby or not and Bennett's swift exit.

Glad other people like the Boo and Pennsatucky friendship- I think they are great together. I didn't like them last season but they are probably my favourites from this.

I wonder if Caesars new girlfriend ends up in Lichfield with Daya and Aleida? Be interested to see where that goes if so.

I've got to be honest and say I couldn't give five shits if Alex is murdered. Her and Piper get on my tits. Ditto Leanne. Norma stuff got boring.

And Stella is definitely my new girl crush. ????

Finally finished series 3! Loved it. So much so I may start watching all three series again.

SPOILER ALERT

Boosatucky are my favourite but poor Doggett . And poor new van duty girl.

Hated the Lolly story and the Norma story although Toast Norma did make me laugh. Why the hell were Suzanne and the girl throwing a turtle at each other?

I hope Poussey and Soso get together. DJ you didn't miss Stella's introduction, that was it . She is extremely attractive but underwhelming character IMO. And is she out of it now? As I understood it Max is different to the Shu and there's no coming back (as for Nicky)?

Hate Piper but I guess we're supposed to. Chang was my favourite back story. And the way she took the piss out of Leanne for being "a weirdo" whilst soaking her feet in god knows what cracked me up. And how sometimes you can hear her in the commissary "fuck you, next!"

Also love Black Cindy, she gets great lines.

I loved the lake ending - made me a bit tearful watching their joy

Also can't give a toss about Alex. Loved Lori Petty in it, she's such a great actress - made me want to watch Point Break again when she was very young and had such an excess of beauty

I think Bennett disappeared to distance himself from Daya and the prison knowing that the baby would end up with Cesar then tipped off the DEA so that he can somehow get custody/guardianship of the baby without admitting he is the father. Or at least I hope that is what has happened, I was feeling way too worried about the baby so had to convince myself.Â

I was pleased to see the start of the friendship between Poussey and Soso. Poussey is such a brilliant character and Soso has been annoying and pathetic for far too long.Â

Lauren needs her comeuppance though, even with the back story I couldn't empathise with her.Â

I have enjoyed Pennsatucky's story this series, well, not enjoyed as I felt awful for her but seeing a bit of her back story and her development made her much more likeable. I think Boo taking her under her wing was great.Â

There were so many other brilliant storylines this series, I think it trumped series 2 easily. I like Piper being less wet too, although I'm sure she's got something coming to her.Â

So what do you all think? What happened to Alex? How on earth are the new rubbish guards going to get everyone back in? Will Caputo really sell out completely?

I finished season 3 the other day.

I enjoyed it, but not half as much as the first 2 seasons.

I liked all the back stories but was a bit irritated that none of those women are just plain bad - they all have an excuse for the crimes committed.

I was bored by the Alex storyline, and the Piper character too.

Overall - it was a bit meh but I stuck with it.

Ooh feezap I hope you're right about Bennett. Which one is Lauren I've forgotten already!

One character I cannot warm to is Janae Watson.

The officers were from the DEA (deal with illegal drugs). Caesar was a dealer. Someone Bennett must have tipped them off.

The implication is that the baby (and the other children) will go into the care of Child Protective Services for now.

Well it kicked off with Gloria when she refused to let her ex bring Gloria's son to prison. She then hit Gloria in the bathroom where she smacked her head. Someone saw the injury in the cafeteria the next day, Aleida blamed it on Sophia and Gloria didn't speak up about anything. Which is why she felt guilty and went to Norma because it got blown out of proportion

I have to say I found this season alot harder to follow. it was hard to keep up with all the story lines.

mind you I was MN at the same time which probably didn't help

I think it could have done without the whole Jewish thing and the pants thing was just stupid.
