Flowers Wine

I didn't even reliese it was a man who was murdered till I read the blog

Really must watch and not mm at the same time Grin

Cheesypop · 30/05/2015 18:40

mozzchops after reading your post I looked up the actress who plays Tiffany in Orange is the New Black. I've watched 4 episodes of The Affair thinking she and Ruth Wilson were the same person, just differently styled Confused

I do love this show but I'm not completely sure about RW. I don't feel any realistic chemistry between her and DW... I think I would enjoy the show more with someone else in her place, although I have no suggestions as to whom!

Intrigued to see what has happened since the affair in order that she is now got chopped hair, slick clothes etc.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/05/2015 18:47

The blog is split into episodes so makes sense.

EachandEveryone · 30/05/2015 19:48

I would've liked someone nearer his own age and abit rough around the edges. I can't think who though.

I have to keep rewinding to watch bits as I find my mind wanders off......

DW just seems so big compared to RW. A big moon face and huge hands etc.

I think in the last two eps they have referred to a dead man and my guesses are between the father in law or JJ's brother. Keep thinking perhaps due to his interest in DW's daughter? She's trouble that one!

One moment RW is really keen then she seems really regretful whereas he doesn't seem to be even remotely guilty or confused about what's going on and I would think in such a small town that it won't be long before it's public knowledge.

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/05/2015 11:35

Well it's not DW Wink

Tinofroses · 01/06/2015 14:09

well I have just watched ep 1,2,3,4 back to back. Really enjoyed them all. How far back do you think they are recapping , obviously more than a year as she's had a child and also I think she made some mention of going back to the city. Who do you think she phoned when she went out of the police station for a smoke. I'm enjoying all the sex scenes but I think they could have cast it better but can't think who.

CheesyDibbles · 03/06/2015 19:31

Can't say I was blown away by last week's episode, but I'm still looking forward to tonight! May have to crack open some wine and chocolate any excuse.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 03/06/2015 22:22

I enjoyed tonight's episode, I'm hooked nowGrin

singlemumoftwins · 03/06/2015 22:30

There is more sex in each episode than I've had for months Blush

Tinofroses · 04/06/2015 07:04

thought last nights was a bit slow, 2 completely different sets of memories. Don't know who to believe. Not much else on though

CheesyDibbles · 04/06/2015 11:18

Yes - I think both stories are becoming more and more different now. She had to leave their nooky session for her grandma and he had to leave the same one because of his daughter.

I'm slightly dubious of his version of what is going on with ginger beardy guy (can't remember his name). It doesn't ring true. Ginger bloke comes across as needy and unbalanced in DW's version of events but that isn't how he's presented by RW.

RW looks like a completely different person when she is being interviewed by the police. Sharp clothes and hair and much less soft and vulnerable. Makes you wonder what has happened to her since the events she's describing.

I'm always struck by DW character's need for control. He comes across as very dominant, especially in the sex scenes when it is his version of events.

That is my in-depth analysis for this week!

UnsolvedMystery · 05/06/2015 09:47

So little bits of information come out each week. We now know who dies but not how - I suspect a car crash.
I'm intrigued by the timeline. She's had a child and is going back to the city. If this is so far in the future, why are they back in town when this accident/murder happens?
More questions than answers!

LuckyLopez · 05/06/2015 09:52

In the first episode she mentions being back in time to collect her children from school or arranging someone to collect them, Is that right?

Timeline would be huge then

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 05/06/2015 14:09

She said she had to collect her kid from nursery, so might not be, could be a little one.

CheesyDibbles · 05/06/2015 14:20

... he asked her if she was using protection! Ahaaa.....

basildonbond · 05/06/2015 16:37

I'm finding it difficult to care about either of them to be honest ... and slightly baffled as to why DW's wife and family don't seem to notice/mind the amount of time he spends away from them all

Also .. DW is a fabulous actor but I find it hard to believe he'd have RW's character panting with lust when she's married to wossisname who is on any objective scale a lot hotter Confused

cleanmachine · 10/06/2015 13:15

Yes! ! How can you bypass pacey from D Creek for fred West? !!

I'm really enjoying it and feel really proud that both lead actors are British. Episodes 2 and 3 were a snooze fest but it's picking up now. Am a little shocked at the amount of sex going on and everyone we watch me and dh kind of look at each other roll our eyes, but secretly we are jealous.

If only idris was the lead, then it would be a bit more believable. Love the setting.

jugglingmonkey · 10/06/2015 13:17

Oh god it's sooooo dull... The shagging isn't even sexy, it's all guilt ridden and miserable.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 10/06/2015 13:28

Oh I think the shagging is fairly realistic , apart from when he threw her up against the wall which I think was just in his imagination.

Simon Barlow was on Corrie the other night, could. It get over how alike he and DW areGrin

I'm also mesmerised by Alison's duck lips, are they natural or have they been enhanced? I find myself not concentrating on the story as I'm fixated on her mouthHmmGrin

EachandEveryone · 10/06/2015 13:42

I know!

And I found myself wondering if Simon Barlow could do an American accent Grin. That whitney is hard work. I wonder why they came up with the children's names? Trevor just wouldn't be used over here anymore would it?

I loved how her mother spotted it straight away.

Ooooo I enjoyed tonight!

Rollergirl1 · 10/06/2015 22:50

Do you think the Mum knows about the drugs? I would suspect not. Why don't they just sell if the ranch if it's worth 30million?

EachandEveryone · 11/06/2015 00:41

I guess because they are old school
