Loved it, mainly for Joshua Jackson but found the two viewpoints really engaging. Interesting to see the two different versions of events.

Agree - one of the few series that's worth the time. Best thing about it is the characterization (very well observed and totally coherent and credible) and the way it is totally of its place and era (basically middle-class New York of today). Montauk is a special place. It's right at the end of Long Island, beyond the fancy Hamptons. Ever so slightly down at heel, but attracts the well-off creative type. Ruth Wilson, Joshua Jackson, Dominc West and Maura Tierney excellently cast and Wilson in particular is brilliant.

There is a second series but not for the same reasons other shows have one. There is resolution of certain (the main?) issues, but the audience are left naturally wanting to know more. Don't want to spoil it, but you won't be as mad at this as you would be if, say, The Missing stopped before you found out what happened!

Joshua Jackson = Pacey from The OC. But he's all grown up now. Like, TOTALLY grown up

we went to america in april, stayed for 5 days in new haven and did plan a trip in the hire car on the ferry over to long island to drive around the hamptons and up to montauk, but the day we planned to do this the weather was awful plus ds was absolutely knackered, jet lag catching up etc so it never happened.

I found them online. Just finished episode 10 now...how long until season 2 is out?! Enjoyed it, the ending doesn't leave you thinking WTF but leaves it open for the second season I think.

We had the first series already. I am desperately waiting for season 2 now.

DW is rocking that forty plus craggy, lived in look. Pacey just looks a bit bloated imo but my younger self still fancies him

Oh balls, forgot to set series link so missed ep 2. Sky website comes up with an error when I try to download it, possibly as it's repeated on HD which we don't have.

I loved it. Really hope it's the father in law who died. So passive aggressive when dismissing DW's 2nd book and getting a dig in about giving them the money for their house.
