One of us mentioned it the other day painted but your website doesn't seem to be there any more. Spo's is still accessible though. Have you been infiltrated (not a euphemism) by HH and they've removed it cos you're doing a better job than them of publicising CJ?

Paintedcherryblossoms · 13/05/2015 22:20

I think the free period has expired got an e mail a couple of days ago about it. Need to sort it along with more updates and get on with some FF Too easily distracted with RL and my new little friend

cjwoofwoof · 13/05/2015 22:32

Above and beyond, cherries , really enjoying the Travels of CJ on a Stick and hope his diary makes it onto your revamped website

orphan · 13/05/2015 22:36

Yes, I can imagine CJ stick is quite distracting painted. Have you thought of making a Ross Poldark one and then reenacting the naked wrestling? In fact, depending on resources, you could make the full wrestling cast. I'll let you off Nicholas Witchell cos he's back of house staff, I think.

Ilovelblue · 13/05/2015 22:39

Painted I do hope there weren't many people in your carriage on the way home, all wondering why you were taking a photo of a little soldier, otherwise known as sex on a stick. Like your blue bag by the way!

Worrying thought that the website may have been infiltrated by HH, but absolutely true that we've made a much better job of being BA/CJ's agents than they have!!

The plant sale was a success - hurray! We made £300 today and although there are still some plants left, we're leaving them until tomorrow lunchtime to see if any more go then we don't need to bring them back home with us again.

Richtea19 · 13/05/2015 22:45

Poor old Nicholas Witchell, not even worthy of stick between his legs! Mind you his been a bit busy with the royal baby and what not and he is just front of house for the wrestling.

ilove great total for the charity, we'll done

orphan · 13/05/2015 22:49

Pity you're not local to me ilove cos I'm always on the lookout for new plants. Dp is the actual gardener, I'm just the plant selector! The garden is looking lovely this year actually, though I'm disappointed that most of the alliums I bought as bulbs at Hampton Court Flower Show last year don't seem to have come through. Not quite the swathes I'd envisioned. Sad

orphan · 13/05/2015 22:54

The Sausage could in fact be represented by a pallid cocktail sausage on a stick à la buffet food 1970s style.

Ilovelblue · 13/05/2015 22:55

I love alliums and they do quite well in my garden, self-seeding here and there but a friend of mine who only lives 5 miles away, can't grow them for love nor money. Bet you paid a lot for them too at Hamptom Court.

This is one of my favourite photos I took of them at Harlow Carr RHS gardens near Harrogate. I had it printed onto canvas when I had my bedroom redecorated last year.

Ilovelblue · 13/05/2015 22:57

That should read Hampton not Hamptom. Time I was going to bed I think!

Onlygirljen · 14/05/2015 06:32

Morning all. Hope everyone is having a better morning than me - 2yo fell last night and has managed to break his foot Confused. Evening trips to a&e are what parenthood is all about Hmm

icemistOBE · 14/05/2015 06:46

Oh no jen I saw your post in FB about it. Hope it's not too bad a break.
I can hear littlest shouting for me...

[Usual conversation - Me: what time is it, Littlie: seven one two, Me: really? (knowing it isn't cos the alarms not gone off), Littlie: maybe it's a six!] . So going to get up and start packing .... Handy really, cos want sure when that was going to be fitted in!!

Aw thanks for the pics ice and nickel. He's fast asleep beside me after a bad night, hubs has been usurped and send to the spare room. Cast just up to below his knee, hoping it will only be on for a few weeks since they heal so fast at his age. Sure he'll be fine with a bit of spoiling!

Do you leave today nickel? Hope it all goes to plan and no stress!

pixieg1rl · 14/05/2015 07:39

Oh dear, poor thing, and poor you Jen. Nothing like a trip to A&E to round off your day.

orphan · 14/05/2015 08:23

Oh jen what a night that must have been. Sad Hope you manage to have a more restful day. Incredibly, both mine have managed never to break anything yet?touching wood frantically?despite both being sporty and ds going through a skateboarding phase in early teens.

ilove at first I thought your lovely pic was of your alliums and was consumed with uncharitable envy, and yes the bulbs weren't cheap! Harlow Carr is lovely - been a couple of years ago for a picnic, followed by tea at Betty's you can see where my priorities lie.

Ilovelblue · 14/05/2015 08:23

Great way to top off your day..... not! My 5 yo nephew broke his leg last year. It took him all of 5 mins once the plaster was put on to realise how to milk the sympathy for it was worth!

Richtea19 · 14/05/2015 08:25

Oh jen what a nightmare. Poor you and your little one :(. I do sympathise as we have had many a trip to a&E. Broken noses from cricket, and cracked heads. Hope your day is ok x

Ilovelblue · 14/05/2015 08:26

orphan going to Harlow Carr early next month to take a friend as her 50th birthday treat. Betty's for lunch too.... lovely! She's never been so hoping for decent weather on the day.

cjwoofwoof · 14/05/2015 09:40

Oh dear oh dear you have my sympathies jen hope your poor mite feels better soon. Nothing beats A&E on a Wed night except A&E on a Sat night I suppose. It's times like those that remind us how precious our brilliant NHS is. Flowers for you and Cake Biscuit Star for being brave for him

Rhubarb01 · 14/05/2015 10:26

Sorry to hear about your little one Jen. I expect he'll perk up pretty quickly. It's usually you who ends up most put out and running around after them while they happily lap up the attention.

My kids are good at needing emergency treatment at difficult times usually weekends or late at night. Younger DD had to go to A&E at 10.30 on a Saturday night once because the daft bat had swallowed a metal marble - she was about seven at the time and ought to have known better. Thankfully they decided to just let it take it's course! Same child had to be x-rayed when she was about 18 months because I thought she might have swallowed the LED part of a torch keyring which had split and the contents were missing. It was only when I got home I remembered picking up a strange unidentifiable object off of the floor a couple of days before. The best one and in so many respects the absolute worst one - bit of a theme going on with swallowing objects - is that when my first DD was about six months old I was changing her nappy and I found a tiny gold safety pin in the do dahs! I hasten to add it was closed thank god. I was absolutely struck with horror as you can imagine. Thankfully no visit to A&E required that time, I would have been so ashamed, but I don't let her forget it and she''s always been a good eater!

I do agree however, that the NHS sometimes gets a bad press but I wouldn't be without them for anything. I have a lot of contact with them for certain reasons and they are great.

Nickel45 · 14/05/2015 12:26

Boss just gone to lunch, so popping in. Hope your littlie is doing OK jen. One of my friend's son (age 8) broke his arm a few weeks back, badly enough to need an op, and he was out of plaster in three weeks! Kids really do heal quickly!! Amazing!

I am off tomorrow morning, first thing, to shop for all the food, and then down to pitch tents, then back to pick up kids for school before it all starts properly! And it's raining .... keep your fingers crossed it will stop before tomorrow. I sent a pleading email round my mummy friends and some of them are coming to help set up too (and bring me chocolate cake, bless!) so hopefully won't take too long. It's got to the stage where the house is full of camping and cooking kit, you can't go anywhere without tripping over it, and I can't pack the car up cos I need to get the kids from school tonight! DH is not happy about it all (he doesn't do camping!). I do hate this bit though, where you want to get on, but just cant ... still, given I am at work all day, should probably concentrate on that really!!!

painted where are you taking CJ on a stick today? Is he still standing to attention?

ilove well done on your sale, that's a brilliant amount :)

orphan · 14/05/2015 13:07

I second the thanks for the NHS. Our youngest was very poorly when little (needed chemotherapy) and the quality of care could not have been better. I think we're supremely fortunate to have it although don't get me started on dentists, having just paid a fortune for some treatment

orphan · 14/05/2015 13:15

nickel you're talking of the stuff of nightmares for me. I've only camped twice but on each occasion during the setting up of tent etc, I was in a comfy picnic chair with a large glass of wine, whilst dp struggled to fit poles into places they clearly didn't want to go. Apparently, my attempts to help were more of a hindrance.
