Grin Anyone else counting down the days! I actually get nervous thinking about it. I have re watched all series and reading the books to pass the time.

Can't wait to see what they do with Sansa and Tyrion this series. And will we see the hound again and lady stone heart?

OP posts:

Missandei is curious about the brothels because she wants to know if Unsullied can still somehow do the biz- she has the hots for Greyworm. Remember her and Daenerys had the convo about "the pillar and the stones" Blush
Poor old Greyworm was morto cos he knew why she was asking so its not looking good for either the pillar or the stones being left behind.

Rollergirl1 · 20/04/2015 12:18

I also thought that the murdered unsullied was meant to be Greyworm at first. But he didn't actually have sex with the prostitute did he? She asked if he wanted the usual and then she he just caressed him.

ShebaRabbit · 20/04/2015 12:25

Yes, he just wanted a cuddle but I think hearing an Unsullied was in a brothel has got Missandei's hopes up.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 20/04/2015 12:50

Yeah I think Missandei doesn't know it was just for a cuddle. They're teasing us with whether he can do the deed or not, I think.

This is a pretty good article discussing it: The Pillar or The Stones?!

IvoryMadonna · 20/04/2015 12:52

AldiQ7 I also got a quarter way through AFFC, and then I discovered that someone had devised a reading order for the chapters of both AFFC and ADWD so they can be read as one long book, instead of reading about half the characters, and then the other half (the books cover the same time period). You can even download the combined edition. I didn't feel guilty about that as I'd bought the books anyway. See here (scroll down into the comments and the link is in there somewhere)

It looks as though a lot of the plotlines are being altered, cut or streamlined anyway, so there will still be surprises.

AldiQ7 · 20/04/2015 14:29

Blimey ivory that is complicated, that must have taken him forever to do that! So does that mean then that if I continued reading, I wouldn't get to read about Tyrion until the next book?! I definitely might download it, thanks. Although I have read that the last series is going to end before the last two books even come out so then I sort of think, is it really worth it? George R R Martin probably just can't be arsed finishing now can he, he has told HBO what happens anyway! It will be interesting though, as doesn't it mean in series 6 no one will know what is going to happen?

So when Greyworm was perving on a nekkid Missandei, he was just curious then, rather than being lusty? She said 'he was definitely looking in that way' or similar, was it just wishful thinking?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 20/04/2015 17:05

Like the article said, because a eunuch would have less testosterone, he would be looking at her more emotionally rather than lustfully. Which is kind of sweet, really.

ShebaRabbit · 20/04/2015 17:56

Interesting article Saga. I didn't realise they can still function without the "stones"

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 20/04/2015 18:48

Yes I think it mentioned that they'd actually last longer! Shock Grin

AldiQ7 · 20/04/2015 19:02

Yes, it was an interesting article, so much I didn't know about eunuchs! I thought it was going to come out that actually Greyworm hadn't had the chop for some reason and he still possessed his pillar and stones, but yes I see that it is more that he just likes her emotionally. He said somejing really sweet in he last series about how if be had never joined the Unsullied and been cut etcnhe never would have met Missandei but it wasn't a sexual thing, more friendly.

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 20/04/2015 21:28

Can I go and live in Dorne please?

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 20/04/2015 22:16

Hello...

Leaningtoweroflisa · 20/04/2015 22:17

Ah much better this week! Braavos looks much different to how it does in my head - much more crowded together and dingy, like the backstreets of Venice - that was really open, especially round the House of Black & white! Dorne v beautiful location too, find dorne book bits a bit tedious but think it might be a bit more exciting now that the series is going its own way more and more. Bronn and Jamie road trip, woo hoo!

Was also worried last week Brienne and Pod were just going to aimlessly wander, glad that may be less if a factor this season?

Leaningtoweroflisa · 20/04/2015 22:19

I'll come with you, serjorah, but don't be expecting to get out of the friend zone...

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 20/04/2015 22:22

Funnily enough the House of Black and white was exactly as I pictured it, albeit a bit bigger. A man needs space.

Thought the ending was touching. And I liked the hissing. Made me think of how the Lannisters were received in series 2.

But so far I feel surprisingly flat about it - like the writing isn't quite up to scratch, a bit more formulaic. I don't know, maybe because it has been quite slow burning.

SerJorahsSecondChoice · 20/04/2015 22:23

He only has eyes for another :(

Cooroo · 21/04/2015 06:12

Some interesting book departures - I've forgotten a lot but pretty sure Jaime/Bron road trip to Dorne didn't happen - it should have done though! Looking forward to that. Not seen any sand snakes yet. Wasn't Doran Martell old and fat??

MerynFuckingTrant · 21/04/2015 07:27

I'm not enjoying this series as much as the others so far. I think it's because it's flitting between about 8 different locations so after two episodes the story has barely progressed. I'm hoping it gets better.
I don't really like how far it's deviated from the books either.

Trills · 21/04/2015 07:46

I'm quite happy with the departures - it makes it a bit ore exciting to not know what's going to happen.

Bronn and Jaime should be fun! I can't remember what Jaime was "really" doing at this point, so I imagine it was not too exciting.

Danaerys really is making a mess of things, isn't she?

ShebaRabbit · 21/04/2015 08:44

At this point in "RL" Jamie is off in the riverlands sorting out a siege situ and reflecting on what Tyrion said about Cersei, then gets a message from Brienne Confused Wonder how this will play out. It is a bit slow tbh but am delighted to see the gorgeous Jaqen back.

Trills · 21/04/2015 08:50

Is that when someone (an uncle or aunt?) tells Jaime that Tywin had one son who was really like him, and it was Tyrion?

ShebaRabbit · 21/04/2015 08:58

Yes, love that aunt. She's like Tywin in a dress Grin

limitedperiodonly · 21/04/2015 10:59

I'm glad the original Jaqen is back. I knew he would be but I thought he might be played by the actor he became when he said goodbye to Ayra.

I didn't fancy him at all.

Love the idea of a Jaime and Bronn road trip.

I thought Drogon might burn Dany. I know that's unlikely but they kill people off when you least expect it.

ShebaRabbit · 21/04/2015 12:24

He's got an insolent-looking mouth, I love that in a man Blush
He looks even better with short hair

limitedperiodonly · 21/04/2015 12:31

He can talk dirty in several different languages. I like him even more now.
