Anyone else counting down the days! I actually get nervous thinking about it. I have re watched all series and reading the books to pass the time.

Can't wait to see what they do with Sansa and Tyrion this series. And will we see the hound again and lady stone heart?

No, this Daario is better than the first Daario.

Rattleshirt is a character who is not in the show, apparently. In the books he's a creepy wilding who was fairly critical around the point that Mance was burned. Him not being around is an interesting diversion from the books.

What does Margaery mean by "Perhaps"? Does she think that once Tommen is king, he can command his mother to go away?

I'm very bored of Dany and the Dragons now. Very bored.

i enjoyed that - although it did seem a bit like reintroducing the characters rather than Doing Plot.

I had to say "you know nothing, John Snurr" to myself. Miss that.

Oh, maybe he was in it... I rewatched season 4 and didn't spot him, but now you mention it maybe he was around earlier.

Ooh it was good! I like new Daario better than the first one though, he was creepy. Varys is such a great character too, hope his character keeps developing through this series.

I think she is hinting at getting rid of Cersei herself, one way or another. Or that Loras will still have to marry Cersei and take her to High Garden.

And I still maintain second Daario is bland. But then again, Dany isn't looking for love. He's just sexy time company really. She'll never love anyone again after Drogo, especially after Jorah the Explorer's betrayal was revealed.

Margaery can't make Cersei marry anyone though - and Cersei just won't do it.

I am not convinced it'll be the same as in the books... But that's possibly because there was no Rattleshirt for the whole of season 4 so I'd forgotten that we do have one. :o

I thought she was very good - totally believable as a young Cersei rather than 'generic young girl who somehow turns into this bitter, conniving woman' which it could have easily been.

No, I think they've filleted out the rattle shirt plot strand. Bye Mance, hello Tormund - which seems a bit of a waste of ciaran hinds but never mind...

Aaaargh I had the over-excitement but now I has the anti-climax. Felt like a lot of setting stuff up but only the tuition and Gary's show (that should read Tyrion and varys but that dyac amused me) for immediate gratification.

I felt that was like a reintroduction too and was just easing us in.I just want more!

It took me reading a recap after finishing watching the 4th series to realise they'd switched actors for Daario, I tend to only follow a few of the storylines properly (am easily confused with a short attention span)

Painted stones. Joffrey and Jon Arryn had them too.

I thought they were painted stones placed over his eyes.

Stones on the eyes, with eyes painted on the stone.

In episode 1 we saw Jon Arryn like that.

Too many brunette bearded men Abi - I spent most of the first series referring to Theon and Jon Snurr as 'the other Robbs.'

The eyes are painted onto stones and laid over the closed eyes of the corpse. Forget why! Sure someone with the energy to run upstairs and leaf through a book or two will tell us soon.
