Grin Anyone else counting down the days! I actually get nervous thinking about it. I have re watched all series and reading the books to pass the time.

Can't wait to see what they do with Sansa and Tyrion this series. And will we see the hound again and lady stone heart?

OP posts:

Agree with a PP that Stannis is really growing on me week by week! I loved his little talk and awkward hug with Shireen. Aww Smile

Was shocked they killed off Ser Barristan so unceremoniously Sad

It's very interesting watching this season as a huge fan of the novels. DP hasn't read them so we're almost in the same boat now, with how much the showrunners are diverging from the texts. I don't have any big complaints so far (except for poor old Ser B). I liked how they took the stone men scene almost wholesale from the book but played it with different characters. Also agree with the PP who was creeped out by that one stone man just dropping into the water - very scary Shock

I am scared for Sansa Sad I hope they don't stay too close to the books there.

Galaxymum · 12/05/2015 16:14

Sob - I accidentally read a huge spoiler yesterday and am gutted. I have tried so hard to avoid spoilers and take the series as episode by episode. Grrrrrrrrrrr Vanity Fair (don't click on any Vanity Fair articles).

Great episode again last night and I love the way our impressions change as the story develops. Stannis is now growing on me too. I worry for Jon Snow and Sansa. I had to peep through my fingers as she was walking through the kennels!

TheFirstOfHerName · 12/05/2015 16:54

Grin at "Melly"
She doesn't really strike me as a nickname kinda gal.

Stannis has corrected someone on the fewer/less thing before. Possibly Davos. I seem to remember it being in a conversation about the number of remaining fingers D had.

AmberFool · 12/05/2015 18:08

LOVED LOVED LOVED that Jon Snow at a dinner party - the iron throne with knives on it and when she says "ooh, tell me about Ygritte" and you know what's coming.Grin Thanks gasp

I cant be the only one who worked that Sansa was going to meet Reek in the kennels?

The North Remembers was very powerful in the books. WymanM says it doesn't he? And the young girl who stands up to the Freys. I wonder if anyone from the North or the Freys will come to Sansa-Ramsey wedding to witness it or whether it will be a quiet affair?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 12/05/2015 18:54

I can't help myself!!

limitedperiodonly · 12/05/2015 18:57

Galaxymum You're right about Vanity Fair. I clicked on a recap of this latest episode and then on another about greyscale and Stannis's daughter and realised in the nick of time that they were going to spoil.

There was no warning. Why do people do that?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 12/05/2015 18:58

Actually, I've stopped myself...phew.

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 12/05/2015 18:59

Yep as soon as I saw it was about greyscale, limited I realised I want that to stay unspoiled.

AmberFool · 12/05/2015 19:25
Vivacia · 12/05/2015 19:25

I've tried to find the Vanity Fair spoilers and couldn't Sad

yumyumpoppycat · 12/05/2015 19:34

I sort of scanned it and I think it was episode 5 spoilers, so no loner spoilerish!

AldiQ7 · 12/05/2015 19:56

Gosh, I need to listen a bit more carefully, that 'fewer' thing with Stannis completely passed me by! I am loving him more each episode though now.

Who is 'JC' in relation to the stone men and Jorah?

I love this thread!

PonyoLovesHam · 12/05/2015 20:01

I just wanted the share this badly dubbed GoT

Apologies if it's already been posted. I find it very funny but am quite childish in things I find funny Grin

Lweji · 12/05/2015 20:07

Yeah, no spoilers on the VF article about greyscale. Only for episode 5.

damn it

Lweji · 12/05/2015 20:14
Grin Ponyo
TheFirstOfHerName · 12/05/2015 20:20

On a completely different topic, I thought that Ponyo was a lovely film.

gincamelbak · 12/05/2015 20:55

I have GOT to stop googling fan theories. I've read all the books but can't remember all the detail and am just getting confused by who characters are and then who they might not actually be...

Regardless. I enjoyed last night. Poor Ser Friendzone. I loved that whole section with him and Tyrion in the boat.

SO bored of Dany.

Waiting for Something Awful to happen to Sansa, it seems doomed to me.

PonyoLovesHam · 12/05/2015 21:03

TheFirst I watched it a lot with dd when I was choosing my mn name! It is a lovely film, there is a mn-er who has a daughter that looks just like Ponyo, she posted a photo a long time ago and the likeness was uncanny!

Cooroo · 13/05/2015 06:16

Finally watched dinner party! Hilarious. Except of course his brother was stabbed to death at his cousin's wedding, not his own!

AmberFool · 13/05/2015 07:27

Cooroo - you are as bad as me. Except it was his uncle's wedding that his brother was killed! Wink

Cooroo · 13/05/2015 09:42

You're right! I'd forgotten Edmure was Catelyn's brother. He was such an idiot he seemed like a younger generation!

IvoryMadonna · 13/05/2015 12:27

Well, it should have been Robb's wedding, only he went and married Dr Quinn Medicine Woman.

Lweji · 13/05/2015 14:05

Except of course his brother was stabbed to death at his cousin's wedding, not his own!

Easy mistake to make when your brain has been half frozen in the North and you were many miles away.

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 13/05/2015 19:23

"Who is 'JC' in relation to the stone men and Jorah?"

Jon Connington, in the book he is with Tyrion when they are attacked by the Stone Men. It's a shame he isn't in the series, I quite enjoyed his storyline.

I'm worried about Sansa, and Brienne and Pod. I have a feeling some dark times are ahead for all three of them.

ChiefClerkDrumknott · 13/05/2015 21:31

Saskia I'm worried for them, too, as well as Loras and the Princess Baratheon Sad They are essentially 'good' and that does not end well here.

Rufus Hound made a good point on Thronecast. He said in any other programme (although I could name or two similar) Theon would break his tortured shackles and redeem himself my saving Sansa, probably dying in the process, but he would pay for his sins in an honourable way. Because this is GOT he will probably hold her down Shock
