Game of thrones season 5!!!9 sleeps!

Grin Anyone else counting down the days! I actually get nervous thinking about it. I have re watched all series and reading the books to pass the time.

Can't wait to see what they do with Sansa and Tyrion this series. And will we see the hound again and lady stone heart?

Book readers only AV Club brings up a point that I agree with - a number of seemingly separate things were mentioned this week that "go together" to make a theory that is not yet confirmed or denied in book world but is very commonly thought on the interwebz.

And ser baristan. Things are looking bleak for the khaleesi. Did anyone think littlefinger was hinting at something when he was talking about rhaegar and lyanna- that he knew something? And also stannis saying that a bastard by a tavern wench wasn't ned stark's style?

I thought Grey Worm was alive and Ser Bariston was dead. Then I thought that Baristion might have survived. But I think that was just wishful thinking.

I'm sure Grey Worm will pull through though.

That's interesting Trills, I had come to that theory from reading the books - it def seems to be hinted at fairly heavily. I don't think I would have picked up the theory based on the show tonight though actually I had forgotten that idea and didn't think of it.

Yes Trills i thought a couple of very big hints were dropped for the Theory Usually Known By Its Initials.

Didn't enjoy this episode quite as much as last week's. But Stannis and Shireen were very touching. Sam has become much smarter all of a sudden (more like book Sam). I thought the Sparrows plot line was rushed and puzzling - I guess Jonathan Pryce is not as mild-mannered as he comes across but so many extremely violent followers seem to have sprung up!

I think there were lots of hints that R + L = J in this episode - almost like the show writers know something and are thinking 'Christ, we'd better pave the way for that one, eh.' GRRM has given major hints that theory is true, too. And I think that explains someone's interest in someone else too in this episode.

I had heard that of Ser Barriston and Grey Worm one lives and one dies - and the one that dies was apparently quite annoyed (as both characters are still alive in the books).

I really like Grey worm so don't think it will be him, but like SB too :(. I think Barriston dying makes sense as things are falling apart for Dany and she needed his wisdom....leaves more room for Tyrion to be valuable in teaching her the ways of ruling.

Ellaria going to see the three girls - she is wearing a "proper" Westerosi outfit wth big sleeves and everything (as highborn ladies in King's Landing wear, not as commoners wear even), whereas they are in 2x casual Dorne summer outfits and 1x nearly-armour.

The one who is her daughter looks too young to fight.

Direwolves:

Ghost - Jon
Summer - Bran
Shaggydog - Rickon (remember him?!)
Nymeria - Arya - made to run away but not known to be dead

There's no animal that could kill a direwolf apart from a dragon.

If a person had killed a direwolf, they would have boasted and spread rumours and drawn visitors from many villages around and Varys or Littlefinger would have heard of it and used that information to their advantage somehow. They have not therefore Nymeria is alive.

So who was jamie talking about when he said dying in the arms of the woman he loves....he was quite wistful looking at the sapphire isles or whatever Briannas home is. Maybe he means me a woman he has yet to meet and fall in love with. Can't possibly be butch face Cersi!
