OP posts:
Earlybird · 11/11/2006 19:48

Wasn't it Elton John?

DebbsyandBibby · 11/11/2006 19:49

thanks early bird you star xx

JoolsToo · 11/11/2006 19:59

3 class performances tonight - quite shocked.

Leona
Robert and
Ray - all outstanding - everyone else can forget it.

Earlybird · 11/11/2006 20:00

Glad to help!

Who do you think will go tonight? Sad to say that I thought Ben was not nearly good enough, and I think will be in the bottom two.

JoolsToo · 11/11/2006 20:00

oh mears! I'll grant you they were better this week but they hardly have the X-Factor

DebbsyandBibby · 11/11/2006 20:48

i think Ben or Ray will go

CantSleepWontSleep · 11/11/2006 20:59

I thought Ben was fab tonight - the song really suited him.

Also thought Leona was amazing - better than Christina Aguilera, who Louis compared her to before.

Was disappointed by Eton Road tonight, but hoping they get through based on past performaces.

Pleeeeaaaaaase let the McD bros go tonight - they are so bloody dull!

Naughtynoonoo · 11/11/2006 21:17

CHEESE CHEESE CHEESE, its obvious who is going to stay tonight, every teenaged girl in the land must be voting for Ray - can't bear him personnally but felt that Nikita was the weakest link - the puss on Simon Cowell - he'll have them trousers round his neck in a moment

Heathcliffscathy · 11/11/2006 21:19

haven't been following this til tonight....the macdonald brothers are APPALLING|! what is going on????

Not watching, but more than likely, yes!

turquoise · 11/11/2006 21:43

She said she'd had a bottle of wine. It was exruciatingly embarrassing I thought.

DelGirl · 11/11/2006 21:46

All I can say is the McD's must have alot of friends and family for them to stay in week after week. I thought it must be them & Nikita in the bottom 2. Ray's performance was great imho and really put a smile on my face. Leona and Robert were fab too. Don't 'get' Ben, he's not my cup of tea but each to their own.

Leona should win it I think.

DelGirl · 11/11/2006 21:49

Did anyone else have a lump in their throat when Robert sang. I'm surprised he managed it tbh after singing at his sisters funeral. I would have been in bits.

Earlybird · 11/11/2006 21:51

I'm amazed that the "losers" are able to be so gracious. They all say that it is "their life long dream" to sing professionally, so they must be gutted when they're voted out. I'm watching Nikita, and she is so composed - especially for someone so young.

I think its time to change the judges or give the show a break for a few years. It certainly has gone very stale, no characters at all this year. It feels like its all about me with the judges this year, like the comp is all about one will win, i don't think they give a real crap at all about the contestants. I like Simon though for some strange reason, don't like Sharon as she seemed like a nasty pice of work with Stve Brokestine last year and what can i say about Louis, he just seems like a slime ball, who likes his little boyie bands.

I actually agreed with everything Simon said tonight; thought he was deliberately polite to the McBoring Brothers so as not to give them the sympathy vote but hey ho didn;t that backfire!

Agree about giving the show a rest, too.

Flamesparrow · 12/11/2006 11:36

He knew one of his was going out so he chose Nikkita before they even started the week She siad that she hadn't been in her "comfort zone" which was ballads - a thing she should have been doing this week .

Ray is knob.

I actually liked McDull this week.

Anyone else feel that Julio was worse than any of em??? It sounded like a dodgy xfactor audtion.

I have been dedicated to xfactor from the beginning but I think this will be my last year... its always been unfair like you say (the not being able to vote properly), and this year it is seeming mroe rigged than ever.

MerlinsBeard · 12/11/2006 11:44

i haven't read all the thread (will catch up in a min) the "losers" are so gracious because they get to go on the tour for most of next year and will probalbly still, most of them at least, get record deals, they are just not immediatly in the public eye like the "winner" will be.

They are still having their dream, not all of them dream about record deals, its about the performing....sorry, hit a nerve!

MerlinsBeard · 12/11/2006 11:47

i do think x factor has 'had its day' now. time for something new i think

Flamesparrow · 12/11/2006 11:51

Good point - they have had recognition... they have sung in front of millions... they know that they have an opportunity for something more now that they have been noticed - Maria with the big boobs has an album coming out now (on the back of bravissimo catalogue ), and the dustbin guy was advertised last night.

They haven't lost. Out of millions who auditioned they are part of the twelve BEST.

JoolsToo · 12/11/2006 12:02

how can you call Ray a nob?

Am quite shocked by that description. He seems really nice and his performance last night was outstanding - whether you like swing or not.

Flamesparrow · 12/11/2006 12:05

I like swing a lot... there is just something about him that makes me want to be very violent

nob was possibly a bit blunt though...
