Well done the GBP for reinstating my faith in their weird and wonderful nature by voting Leona as the winner. No-one else, least of all chucky Ray, should have deserved such an accolade.

Ray's future in panto is a dead cert. Back end of a horse preferably.

Just hope Leona now gets some decent material to sing.

On a different note - I don't get how simon bigged up Sean at the time. yes he was sweet but that was it. Last night he sang and in all fairness was bland.

Didn't see the final as I was out last night. Had a FAB night!!! I will probably watch it on ITV2 tonight, but yeah, they do drag it out don't they? I wasn't that enamoured with either of them, although Ray began to grow on me, probably because my ds aged 8 thinks he's cool.

Haven't heard the single, but I bet Kelly Clarkson was miles better. Now that girl does rock.

I didn't like Ray in the beginning but what a lovely lad he has turned out to be. I actually liked his version of the single better - can't be doing with too much warbling. Leona will be HUGE I am sure. Don't think it is the last we have heard of Ray.

How would Ben ahve coped with that song if he had reached the final?

That's the thing though, I never understand why such a big deal is made about the 'winner' as the runner up also gets a deal too, so really, winning is no big deal. Last year Shayne Ward, Andy Abrahams and Journey South all had albums. Leona may be huge in a year or so, but I thought that about Shayne, and what's happened to him?

Ben was getting stroppy a few weeks back saying it was all a fix and that the single was very much a girl's song.

I'd say it is more a girl's than a boy's song, although I thought Ray did an okay job with it. Can't imagine Ben doing the Joe Cocker thing with it though, what a mess that would be.

Nooo, I don't think Ray did an okay job. It was very average. But I would have been very interested to see how Ben would have changed the song into something that would suit his voice...

maybe they should have had a different song each to do which would have been released as their single, rather then joe public being lumbered buying a shite song that no one realy wants but feels obliged to buy (i wont be tho) cos they have voted for that person, if ray had a different song, one that suited him more then maybe the vote would have gone the otherway and he would have won. Dont think it will be the last we see of him tho, ds1(7)thinks ray is fab and was gutted that he lost, especially as we had let him stay up late to watch the final.

Not gonna watch it next year who ever i pick never wins anyway, didnt watch it last year, and was sooooo upset when Tabby got knocked out the year before.

shayne is in sweden apparantly recording a new album.

He is touring next throughout the UK, Wembley Arena, MEN Arena etc.

He came down to our neck of the woods a couple of months ago and bought all his friends/family drinks in the pub, so my FIL says.
