Is anyone else looking forward to this? It is going to be shown on Sunday nights once the present series of 'Call the Midwife' has finished.

I loved the original series even though the story did stray from the books a bit. I wonder how this one will go. I understand Robin Ellis has a bit part in the new version as the Reverend Halse.

Janine Duvitski was in One Foot in the Grave but more recently she's been in Benidorm playing Jacqueline. Benidorm is probably my favourite series recently apart form the Musketeers (which was on at the same time on the other side )

I have been off work this week with an injury and can't do much so been watching lots of bad telly and Poldark on iplayer twice so am desperate for a new episode!

Kind of. But I ordered the DVDs of the Robin Ellis version and have been watching them, as well as reading the books. So I'm quite well-Poldarked at the moment.

I hadn't realised how far the original tv series differed from the novels and I've been quite surprised by that. It will be interesting to see if this new series takes as many liberties with the story.

Oooooh me - specialmagiclady - have had a really busy day shifting furniture and cleaning and so am looking forward to settling down with a nice glass of wine for a good old letch
