The other thread was full and people still seem pretty pissed off about the whole series, so I thought we'd better have another thread to moan about it Grin

Previous thread.

I was particularly impressed with DI Miller's and Danny's mum ability to teleport. One moment they were in the hut having a word with Joe, Joe then leaves the hut and AMAZEBALLS Miller and Danny's mum already outside watching him walk towards them from the hut.

BingoBonkers · 26/02/2015 16:03

S3 about the lawyers son will be pony. Fact.

APlaceInTheWinter · 26/02/2015 16:20

Maybe we could start a petition to make series 3 not about the lawyer's son. There was an interview with Chris Chibnall where he seemed to imply he hadn't written it yet so there's still time . . .

We could also have t-shirts with 'Free the Sandbrook 1' and a photo of Lee hammering in a post

I actually hope that somehow Series 3 is still about the Latimers because Jodie Whittaker and the bloke who played Danny's dad are very good actors.

MajesticWhine · 26/02/2015 16:31

Agreed. I think it needs to have Charlotte Rampling in it though, cos she adds gravitas.

VeronicaCaCa · 26/02/2015 16:45

So was there no significance to the scene where Lee was playing what looked like hide and seek in the bluebell field? I was just browsing pics of him on google images thinking about it and can't pinpoint any relevance.

MajesticWhine · 26/02/2015 16:49

I've got no idea Veronica. But it's hilarious that so many people have a crush on Lee. I think he was supposed to be creepy and sinister.

VeronicaCaCa · 26/02/2015 16:58

Not to mention a child killer!

APlaceInTheWinter · 26/02/2015 17:39

I thought Claire said Lee had picked the place to bury Pippa because it was a special place to them and that tied in with them all playing hide and seek there in the bluebells. It was a place where Ricky, Lee, Lisa and Pippa had happier times.

Then Ricky had the photo to remind him of those happier times and because Pippa had been buried there. I'm guessing he sent Claire the bluebell as a reminder/warning they were all in it together.

That makes sense winter

diddl · 27/02/2015 09:26

I thought that Pippa's body had just been dumped in water?

APlaceInTheWinter · 27/02/2015 09:40

iirc the bluebells edged onto the water so yy Pippa was in water but Ricky was able to hold her hand so she couldn't have been submerged initially or just in very shallow water.

Hardy walked into the water to get Pippa because he was at the other side of the small lake but Ricky, Lee and Claire had taken Pippa there from the other direction which was through the bluebell wood.

diddl · 27/02/2015 09:55

I meant that she wasn't actually buried at all?

I will admit that I wasn't watching closely, it was on in the background.

3catsandcounting · 27/02/2015 10:06

Right at the end of last episode, on the beach, I thought Danny's sister Chloe, was going to reveal something significant. She seemed to spend a long time crouching over the flowers, then giving them a good squeeze - then nothing!! And who was the child, with hand dripping in blood in the opening credits of the first series?

APlaceInTheWinter · 27/02/2015 10:11

diddl you're right. She wasn't buried. I used the wrong word - duh! I should have said where they left her body.

APlaceInTheWinter · 27/02/2015 10:11

That duh! was to me Grin

diddl · 27/02/2015 10:15

i will admit though, buried does sound better than dumped in water!Blush

VeronicaCaCa · 27/02/2015 10:32

It was Danny with the bloody hands. He caught them on the barbed wire as he tried to run from Joe iirc.

MissM · 27/02/2015 11:07

'I thought Claire said Lee had picked the place to bury Pippa because it was a special place to them and that tied in with them all playing hide and seek there in the bluebells. It was a place where Ricky, Lee, Lisa and Pippa had happier times.'

So rather than remember the wood as a lovely place where they all had happy times they choose to remember it as the place where Pippa - murdered by her father - was dumped. Hmm

Just another Hmm to add to the list of Hmms in relation to this series.

I also wondered about the mum on the night Pippa was murdered. She's off at the wedding getting (more) plastered, and was supposed to have discovered the girls missing when she got home. But wouldn't she have heard Lee tearing the floor apart into the wee small hours next door? Or did he manage it all before she returned? (Another Hmm)

3catsandcounting · 27/02/2015 11:09

Aah, right Veronica; I need to go back to the very first episode again!

APlaceInTheWinter · 27/02/2015 11:30

I thought the mum stayed at the wedding and that Ricky went back to the hotel? the mum didn't find out the girls were missing until the next day.

APlaceInTheWinter · 27/02/2015 11:31

We all have so many questions. It's going to take us all about 2 years to work out what we actually watched Grin

VeronicaCaCa · 27/02/2015 11:45

Why was Lisa at Lee and Claire's anyway. Was she wearing a nightie or a little summer dress? I thought it was because she'd spotted the stalker and wanted Lee for security who wouldn't? but dh says that she spotted the stalker while chatting to Lee and said "well I can't go back round now he's out there".

And why and how would she have moved a sleeping 12yr old from her bed to next door, surely it would have been easier for Lee to have gone to their house. Obv it is just to fit in with the laminate flooring plot but it makes no sense to me. Did Lisa have to pop over to borrow a cup of sugar? Little minx.

eddiemairswife · 27/02/2015 21:59

Did Claire bury the Rohypnol flask somewhere in the bluebell wood?

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2015 22:15

Yes Claire said she buried it for security

I thought Lisa took pippa next door so she could have sex with lee

Would have been easier for lee to go next door
