The other thread was full and people still seem pretty pissed off about the whole series, so I thought we'd better have another thread to moan about it Grin

Previous thread.

I enjoyed this series (although I think it probably should have stopped at series 1) but can't see how they can drag it out into series 3. Will that be Lee and Claire being put on trial and getting off due to a clever barrister? Or just more legal courtroom drama with barristers Knight and Bishop? Or some new evidence coming to light that merits a retrial for Joe?

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2015 16:27

right just watched, avoided fb and here till now Grin

so let me see if i got this right

joe did kill his friends son but jury found him not guilty, so he is free unless new evidence comes up? and rather then dad and PQ son push him off the cliff, would have prefered that lol, they take him to OC and JF who tel him to stay away

ricky killed cousin/bs coz he caught her shagging lee and got in a jealous rage and pushed her and she hit her head and died spilling blood so they changed the floorboards

pippa thought it was lee as thats what her dad said, so ricky wanted to drug claire with the hip flask, but she didnt drink it as was preg so made pippa drink it and knocked her out and then persuaded lee to smother pippa with a pillow and put in the river, in which hardy found her and almost killed his self getting body out of cold water as of his heart

and claire buried hip flask and said to ricky that he killed his daughter, but was lying, so that ricky couldn't say what happened to his daughter

so will B3 all be about rickys/lees trial? or about the lawyers son?

whothehellknows · 24/02/2015 16:45

I reckon Joe is going to turn up in series 3. All that whining, "but I was found innocent!", "You can't just banish me!"

He's going to turn up and then somebody will kill him and Ellie will get the blame because she DID say she was going to kill him. So DT will have to come back to his shack to investigate and then she'll need a lawyer...

*You're not meant to burn laminate flooring as it emits toxins

I will definitely miss the thread more than the series

Fiderer · 24/02/2015 17:09

Blondes The hip flask was always meant for Pippa. Ricky must have been so shocked by Lisa dying/too pissed to remember it had Rohypnol in it/both/thought it would just make her sleep.

Fiderer · 24/02/2015 17:11

... and if he did it deliberately (handing over the flask knowing there was Rohypnol in it) then he wanted to make Pippa forget what she'd heard.

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2015 17:14

i thought ricky told claire to have some, but she refused and then got pippa to tell her what happened and she kept giving her the booze

so ricky intended to come back from the wedding and drug/rape claire?

Ricky had taken the flask to the wedding in the hopes of getting a woman to drink from his flask, but he was knocked back and came home.

MissM · 24/02/2015 17:37

Me too DontGotoRoehampton. I'm still chuckling at 'church full of paedophiles' two weeks on!

PatterofaMinion · 24/02/2015 18:05

The big question is what to watch next.

Is there a good series I can buy on DVD that I've missed recently?

Thinking about: The Killing
The Fall

I've got Breaking Bad and haven't watched that yet

mothermirth · 24/02/2015 18:27

You haven't seen The Killing PatterofaMinion? Envy

Angelto5 · 24/02/2015 18:28

Definitely watch breaking bad. I'm nearly at the end of season 2 & I was hooked from the first episodeGrin

It's a lot like broadchurch in you will find yourself shouting at the tv but in a positive way(unlike broadchurch) Wink

mimithemindfull · 24/02/2015 18:35

Bb is amazing. the killing also. Bb and the killing are on netflix so if u got that u dont need to buy dvd

MajesticWhine · 24/02/2015 18:38

Ah, found new thread. I am in a minority but I will look forward to series 3. Ok, 2 was full of flaws, but it was entertaining and I wouldn't have wanted to miss a minute of it. A lot better than some offerings on tv. For those who hated 2 so much, remember there is always the option of not watching 3. Or does that ruin the fun? Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/02/2015 19:12

i did enjoy last nights, amazing what they packed into an hour

and amazed that no one on here noticed the floor colour change ........

feel a bit sorry for lee tho if he had kept his dick in his pants none of this would have happened

Icimoi · 24/02/2015 19:30

If Hardy and Ellie are back for the next series, it doesn't seem too likely that it'll be about the defence barrister's son, though I suppose they may drag that in somehow. If they want to make it a trilogy with a neat conclusion, the likelihood is that Joe will reappear, another little boy will go missing, and it will be all about convicting him of that one and getting him to admit that he was guilty of the first murder all along.

MajesticWhine · 24/02/2015 19:58

How about Tom goes missing (or even Fred, although he's been missing for most of this series) and so Ellie contacts Hardy for help in finding him, suspecting that Joe has taken him.

ChristyMooreRocks · 24/02/2015 20:15

The scene where they banished Joe, and all the villagers were dotted all over the cliffs, was eerily reminiscent of The Wicker Man - but instead of Joe being forced to go into a giant effigy to be burnt alive, he was forced to go to.......Sheffield.

LineRunner · 24/02/2015 20:18

I thought Wicker Man, too.

I read the threads and only watched the last episode. The threads definitely were the best bit.

EauRouge · 24/02/2015 20:33

Did anyone else notice that during the interviews with Lee and ClaireGwen, they used cassette tapes? I didn't know you could still buy those. Do police really still use them? I know they are underfunded, but really.

OP posts:
VeronicaCaCa · 24/02/2015 20:47

I had a police interview last yr and it was recorded on tape. So yes police really do still use

VeronicaCaCa · 24/02/2015 20:48

Nerf · 24/02/2015 20:59
