Anyone watching?

OP posts:
Zettina · 26/06/2015 21:59

I know whether or not Finn is back in next series. Too much of a spoiler to post it?

DustBunnyFarmer · 26/06/2015 22:18

I'm interested to know. Let's see what the others say.

PooSweats84 · 27/06/2015 09:11

I'm interested to know too! Will be upset if he isn't, getting a bit bored of Alicia denying herself happiness with another man that isn't Peter!

Listmaker · 27/06/2015 18:07

Yes I'd like to know too Smile

DustBunnyFarmer · 27/06/2015 18:44

Just google: matthew goode season 7 good wife

All will be revealed.

oneowlgirl · 27/06/2015 20:45

Just googled it Dust. Thought the related article about Alicia & Kalinda not filming the final scene together was interesting as when I was watching it I thought that they weren't together.

DustBunnyFarmer · 27/06/2015 21:37

Me too owl!

Listmaker · 27/06/2015 21:51

Yes had my suspicions about that final scene with Kalinda Sad .

DustBunnyFarmer · 27/06/2015 21:53

I'd love to know what their beef is about, but they are doing a good job of keeping it under wraps.

oneowlgirl · 27/06/2015 22:08

Me too Dust - until this thread I hadn't even noticed they'd not had a scene together & not read anything about it at all.

DustBunnyFarmer · 28/06/2015 08:07

I feel particularly unobservant now, as one of those articles said they hadn't been in a scene together for several years!

As a complete aside, did anyone else see Archie Panjabi making a complete horlicks of the award she was presenting at the BAFTAs? She was either very, very nervous or impaired by drink etc. She started reading from the results card before they'd even started the showreel with the nominees & clips. It was cringeworthy.

oneowlgirl · 28/06/2015 09:27

I thought she seemed nervous rather than drunk tbh but totally agree it was a mess!

chippednailvarnish · 28/06/2015 13:05

Apparently Archie Panjabi knew she was leaving two seasons ago, it must have been a hell of an argument!

oneowlgirl · 28/06/2015 14:16

Totally agree chipped - would love to know as seems very strange for professionals to not be able to sort it out!

RumAppleGinger · 28/06/2015 22:53

Ok Archie Panjabi is brittish right? She must spend sometime in this country? Maybe we can collectively track her down and corner her until we find out what the argument was about because I HAVE TO KNOW!

Just watched the last episode. There is no way Alicia and Canning can go into partnership if Alicia is serious about setting up some sort of moral law firm where they work to do good.

I don't think she is finished with Cary yet, there is still a strong working relationship there and I can see them back together.

Whatever happens I hope Alicia and Peter go public that there marriage is over next season.

DustBunnyFarmer · 28/06/2015 23:53

I think Peter will go ahead with his VP bid, despite Alicia saying she didn't want to do it. His ego is certainly big enough to think he can railroad them through. I think you are right that she may blow the lid on their separation.

oneowlgirl · 29/06/2015 18:34

I agree Dust - he'll do whatever he wants as he's a selfish individual through & through.

Bue · 30/06/2015 14:02

I'm a bit Confused about that whole season. I can't even see what the point of the campaign bid storyline was as it's all been for naught! And I was looking forward to Alicia shaking things up in the SA's office. I think her one one side of the law and Agos-Lockhart-Lee-Whoever would have been interesting.

Colour me extremely unobservant because I also hadn't noticed how long it had been since Alicia and Kalinda had shared a scene. They pulled the wool over my eyes with those phone calls they were always having!

Bue · 30/06/2015 14:05

My other burning question is, how have they managed to keep the Peter-Alicia separation a secret for this long? Hmm I get that it makes it easier to hide since technically he is meant to live in Springfield away from the family (although why is his office in Chicago??), but really, NO ONE has blown this story open yet?

oneowlgirl · 30/06/2015 17:57

I liked the SA storyline as I thought it did well at depicting just how corrupt & cut throat politics actually is & goes some way to explaining how Peter is - there's no room for niceness & it's a case of 'joining' rather than beating them. Not making excuses for him, but think it shows that if he were any different, likely he wouldn't be as successful. Horrible!

HalleLouja · 01/07/2015 06:50

Have caught up now.

So Finn hates failing so is trying again with his ex. He still fancies Alicia so can't work with her.

Kalinda got off the hook as she played Lester a bit.

Canning hates the remaining partners and wants to get revenge.

I thought Alicia and K weren't in scenes together because of the whole Peter thing I didn't realise about the actresses falling out.

I wonder if Robin will be in it more next season.

Its not been the greatest season but still love it. Niles was great. Eli was a legend and under used in some of the lady episodes.

DustBunnyFarmer · 01/07/2015 07:57

Perhaps the Peter thing was cooked up to explain their antipathy.

OnlyLovers · 01/07/2015 09:31

getting a bit bored of Alicia denying herself happiness with another man that isn't Peter!

Me too! For God's sake stop being such a martyr, Alicia. Mind you, to be fair I think she was actually gearing up to get over it and make a move on Finn if he hadn't suddenly gone all coy on her.

I thought Archie P was sweet at the BAFTAS, and nervous rather than pissed. I did wonder if she hadn't been briefed/rehearsed though.

I quite like the idea of Alicia and Louis working together. Worlds collide. Grin

I agree that Peter will go ahead with his VP bid and about his ego. I'm sick of him and Eli pulling Alicia's strings and I badly want them to get their comeuppance.

Sadly, I suspect that it won't happen; this show is too good at being equivocal and nuanced and not just simplistic and black and white, dammit. Grin

SheHasAWildHeart · 01/07/2015 11:01

And please no more Lemond Bishop in the next series.

SheHasAWildHeart · 01/07/2015 11:02

Just thought isn't Finn playing Lady Mary's new love interest in Downton??? If so is he still going to be in TGW?
