Anyone watching?

Great episode last night, I really enjoyed it.

BagelwithButter · 19/06/2015 15:48

I always wondered if it was a wig - glad to see it confirmed here!

Sad that Kalinda has gone but didn't like it that she was just chauffeur to Bishop's kid, but guess it had to be that way with the storyline.

I love the clothes that Diane and Alicia wear but, boy, they seem even thinner this season! Even Cary looks extremely slim.

BagelwithButter · 19/06/2015 15:49

Still miss Will Sad

chippednailvarnish · 19/06/2015 21:52

Does anyone know what the judge meant when he said "with prejudice"?

colouringinagain · 19/06/2015 22:22

Say "Yes" Finn, say "yes"!

oneowlgirl · 19/06/2015 22:29

I wondered that too Chip Smile

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 20/06/2015 00:15

I think 'with prejudice' means it'll prevent the DA trying to bring the case again i.e. double jeopardy.

Is that the last one then?

BagelwithButter · 20/06/2015 00:31

(Copied from Yahoo) With prejudice means that the district attorney can never EVER re file this case.

The judge bent the DA over his knee and paddled his little be-hind and told him he misapplied the law, overstepped his legal authority, and will never do this again to you.

Implication if DA re-files, contempt of court. probable ethics violation, possible disbarment. Absolutely disfavors the prosecution

Defense wins. TKO.

Depends on charges. usually an over aggressive DA wants to bolster his political career with a high profile case. Maybe charging a drunk driver with murder 1 instead of the usual involuntary manslaughter. this is an extreme example. Florida DA charged parents with negligent homicide. Sick child was killed in an auto accident on way to hospital, in mom's arms instead of the car seat which was in the back seat. Went to trial. Jury deliberated for 15 minutes, returned not guilty verdict. Judge dismissed with prejudice.

1 more episode to go. Another good episode I thought. Shame Eli hasn't been in the last couple though and what will happen with Bishops trial? Will that be left for next series?

DustBunnyFarmer · 20/06/2015 07:53

The judge knew Alicia fibbed about Kalinda being her source, didn't he? But she framed her bogus answer (technically complying with his request) with the preamble about the miscarriage and he agreed, so the source became less relevsnt.

DustBunnyFarmer · 20/06/2015 07:56

And I am still jiggling on the spot with excitement about an Alicia/Finn highly principled law firm with deserving cases. Now Diane and Cary's decision to oust Alicia to keep the right wing millionaire Oliver Platt character as a client. It showed how much you have to bend your principles for money,

DustBunnyFarmer · 20/06/2015 07:57

There should have been a "makes sense" somewhere in my last post.

PooSweats84 · 20/06/2015 15:43

Kalinda's exit was absolutely shite, I really thought she'd go with a bang, maybe there'll be more about it next week, but she was such a huge part of the show and everyone has basically shrugged their shoulders and got on with things. Surely at least Diane would be concerned about her after her weird phone call!

chippednailvarnish · 20/06/2015 16:03

Thanks Bagel
I agree Kalinda going was a huge anti climax, but there is an episode to go...

chanie44 · 22/06/2015 15:34

I agree, but It was a very Kalinda type exit.

I still think my theory was better!!?

DustBunnyFarmer · 22/06/2015 18:15

Someone posted a link to a spoilerish Good Wife article on a different thread that suggested the Good Wife might have run its course and this might be the last series. I hope not, as I would be interested to see how Alicia's ethical practice works out.

DustBunnyFarmer · 22/06/2015 19:46

Just wanted to add that speculation about the longevity of Good Wife was not the spoilerish content in the article, just speculation. In case you were sharpening your sticks to hunt me down later.

msrisotto · 22/06/2015 20:06

I do feel that this last series was a bit weak, but it can't go back so i'm not sure where it has to go...

DustBunnyFarmer · 22/06/2015 20:14

DH and I are both big fans, but also agree this series has been very uneven.

crassula · 23/06/2015 13:44

There is going to be a Season 7 - it's set to start in October this year in the US

DustBunnyFarmer · 23/06/2015 19:33

Oh that is good news, crassula - thank you for posting. Something to soften the blow after this week's finale.

HalleLouja · 25/06/2015 09:29

I was a bit weepy watching the last two episodes. When Kalinda left Cary was all a bit sad.

On a purely looking at hot men view point. Cary isn't doing it for me any more. He looks too thin. Finn on the other hand........... Better than Will.

DustBunnyFarmer · 25/06/2015 21:28

Water out of the fridge for Mr Lester! When she's standing in the damn kitchen!

DustBunnyFarmer · 26/06/2015 16:59

Was disappointed with Finn's decision, but I think they will keep him on as stud muffin/romantic interest. I saw something online about his Downton Abbey commitments getting in the way with the Good Wife.

Did no-one else watch last night? Where are you all? Hellooooo?

Listmaker · 26/06/2015 20:58

Yes I'm here. I hope Finn is still about too. He's cute Grin . Although as soon as they gave Canning's wife the boot I thought she might work with Alicia.

I did wonder where Josh was so good to see he's still alive. I thought the same re the VP thing...they surely won't be able to hide their sham marriage then...

I shall miss The Good Wife. Not as good this series but still great. Anyone know when it's back?
