Just watched all of last week's! For a few moments during the NYD episode I thought you'd all been lying and Ronnie was a gonna!

Hmm... Perhaps Max was taking Abi for a driving lesson when Abi saw what she thought was Jay & Lola getting off a bus together. Cue insane jealousy & driving the car at "Lola". Lucy turns round & faints with the shock/concussion. Abi brakes in time but thinks she killed her because Lucy hit her head for a second time. Max, Ben & Jay are all witnesses & all help cover it up. It's still "murder" when they think that she died as a result of Abi driving the car maliciously at her. Would also explain why Abi was so quick to help Max scrub the car lot - he protected her & then it looked like they could both be guilty so she helped clean up for him.

I like that theory! Although I'm certain Lauren also knows

In the murder episode Lucy's phone is ringing beside her body.

But a few months later its dug up by Denise, having been buried by Ben & Jay.

I don't understand (or remember if it was explained) how they got it before the police. So perhaps Abi is the killer and told Jay so he went and got Lucys stuff before the police/ambulance/body discoverer came?

Ohh, but why has Jane hidden her phone and purse under the floorboards?!

That is Goodwood! If Lucy had actually been run down or knocked over forensics would have known that, and this would or should have been referred to by now but what AGnu suggests would work, and the ' it's not there ' would be Max's car.....

Ffs, good not Goodwood, I think we are fairly certain that there was no equine involvement.

Dunno if anyone posted this already as it's hard to keep up, but Max was at the darts last night holding up a sign saying 'I killed Lucy Beale!'. So not him then...

Yeah I think she realises Max's car is not there and memory was triggered as someone said I only left him 5 mins. As max had said that he went out for 5 mins on dog walk

I don't think Lucy's phone was next to her body but they did play her voicemail messages over the scenes of her body, which made it seem like her phone was next to her. I think it was just a bit of artistic licence for effect though.

Good theory, but then again, they'd say she did it by accident and all give the same alibi that Lucy stepped out, not do this whole dumping of body thing.

I just looked at that video (thanks Buddhasbelly!) and the silver car parked outside is Jane's isn't it? I need to watch the episode after Good Friday.

I've got a theory. Perhaps Abi messages Lucy from Max's phone to come and talk or whatever and she finds Abi there who kills her for sleeping with Max. So it takes about 5 mins to walk around the square going past the houses and the vic. So maybe he misses Lucy going to his house as their sight is obscured by the trees and bushes in the green. This is maybe why Emma looks at all the houses from the vic as the view is some what obscure from certain angles. He comes back from walking the dog (after 5 mins) and finds Abi's killed Lucy. He bungs body in the car and drives to Walford common and dumps her to protect Abi. He starts relationship with Emma to keep tabs on what's going on and gets her fired on purpose so no one believes her theories due to being incompetent.

Is there significance in max saying he's sorry to Emma when she's dead and Ian leaving an identical message on Lucy's phone when she's dead?

Have had a thought - just because we (as an audience) find out Lucy's killer it doesn't mean the police find out! (Not live ones anyway!)

I don't think it's one of the Brannigs. She was acting normally when the three of them were in the kitchen after the meeting in the park. If one of them had just confessed to murder it would have been different.

Maybe Max is sorry for having a fake relationship with her to protect his daughter? Sorry for making her lose her job? He should be sorry for a lot of things, he wasn't very nice to her was he? Infact he's never nice to any of his gfs and wives. Horrible little man.

Ian is probably genuinely sorry for the fight they had.

Wow lots of theories! And agree that the NYD episode has renewed people's interests in the who dunnit story as people were getting sick of it.

She can't have been knocked down as we would have been told that already. Were we not told early on that she suffered a blow to the head?

Surely it can't be a branding given that Emma was sitting with them all just after her meeting with the killer. Having said that I strongly suspect it is Abi!

Didn't realise that Max's car was missing in the video. I don't pay enough attention to these details. I though Lauren was at the Beales door in the video?
