What a nyd epidsode !!

Soooo by the time this gets to 1000 we should know who Lucy's killer is do we actually care?

Seems jane is the hot favourite tho Abbi a close 2nd

Abi really wanted to be a vet though, maybe she just cares about animals more than people. Or maybe it just brought it all back?

I love how 2 weeks ago everyone was saying how bored they were with the storyline & how little they cared who did it & then you've all filled nearly 15 pages in just a couple of days trying to figure it out! Grin

I've not had time to digest the new clues - will be back with a theory later... Right now I'm throwing Donna into the mix... Just cos! Grin

dreamcometrue, When she ran over her dog and Emma was sympathising with her, she came out with "things die" really morbidly! That's when she started going weird and getting more and more suspicious of Lola and Jay. I found that really dark too!

I'm ruling out Max and Lauren. I just don't think it's them.

I quite like where he has said that the episode where Emma phoned the killer and said "I know you killed Lucy!" at the end (30th December), Abi wasn't in the scenes prior to this but both Max and Lauren were, perhaps EE trying to draw attention away from Abi (trying to keep us guessing!)

I like how the last few episodes have reinvigorated the 'whodunit' aspect since there is still quite a few to go.

Peter's poster says taxi from Walford Common to George St, was Lucy drunk too then or just suffering concussion, Emma looked like she might have been drunk so maybe Jake, drunk himself, couldn't tell the difference with Lucy?

I watched back some episodes (sad but last day of holidays & nothing else to do) and dont know enough about the layout of the square but Emma looks at Kim's, then to her right of pub (car lot? Brannings house?) then to left (market/Beales) then to no27 (Mitchels?)

No idea what's missing or there that wasn't before but in Fats video there is a silver car outside the house Lauren is going into - could that be Max's?

Emma hanging up when Alex phone rang could be that the number she was ringing wasn't stored in her phone under a name.

All of the above leads me in a big circle though :) maybe it might click with someone else.

Possibly Abi or Lauren with Max as a possible helper to move the body back to the Common for Abi since she couldn't drive? Or Whitney.

God it's worse than when JR got shot.

I think it's either Peter, Cindy, Ian or Jane. In that order. Close Family.

Remember ages ago in the TV trailers after the murder they showed Peter digging with a spade. Was he digging to hide Lucy's purse. Do we know what he was digging yet?

I'm going to re watch the murder episode after re watching the NYD episode right now. Emma's says to the murderer in the park 'that doesn't change anything it's still murder'.

It's not Peter.

I was watching This Morning the other day and they were doing the soap bit and she said Peter is doing travelling so he is leaving, Lauren is pregnant in RL so will she be leaving with him? But she kinda slipped up and said they were leaving together before correcting herself.

So on that basis, it's not Peter or Lauren.

Buddhasbelly, good link! That blog is very convincing, and I like how he's analysed the imagery too, talking about Abi's red coat and casting a shadow over Ian. Also, like how he's ruled out the fashion police as the killers too. That grey suit and spotty top was indeed a most heinous crime Grin.

That blog is rubbish. He rules out people who haven't been in the programme for five years. That's not a reason for them to be innocent.

'It's still murder though" - is a weird sentence.

It's like the person she was talking to was making excuses. As if it wasn't intentional.

There is obv. no doubt in Emma's mind that it was intentional, and couldn't possibly be manslaughter despite whatever excuses/reasons the person in the park gave.

See after reading the last few comments,I wondered if Abi had run Lucy over (cos that whole running the dog over thing was just weird), then the missing thing would be Max's car, and Jake and Ben had helped her bury the body and then took the purse to make it look like a robbery.

But if she knocked her over she could say she didn't mean to and then it could be manslaughter so Emma couldn't have been sure it definitely would be murder.

That said I still think it's Dean

I don't think its Denise as there is no motive and she is the mother of daughters so I don't think she could kill someone's daughter.

In the 5 mins that max walked the dog Abbi could have ran Lucy over or thumped her over the head

Think in the clip Emma keeps watching there is no car parked in front of house

I think the way Emma dies is a big clue.

I think whoever killed Lucy did something quite minor like pushed her over or some such but it was the accidental blow to her head earlier that actually caused her death, maybe?

Perhaps the murderer was saying they only pushed her, but because she dies afterwards its still murder?

But yeah, i think it was Abby. She can be cold as ice.

Countess I agree that his 5 year cut off point is a bit subjective, I don't really see why he feels 5 years should be a cut off point either but I do agree that it would be a huge storyline to give to a new(ish) character if that's what they have chosen to do.

As it's the anniversary coming up, I had initially thought it would be a long standing character to sort of "mark it" if that makes sense but then all the clues up til now have put that to pot!
