Acceptance is fab - I also really like the two consecutive diary stories that are on, the one from CJs perspective is particularly good (it's just a crush).

I should be starting dinner right now, but just read latest chapter of that one and on here. Must go and feed family!! Hmm

icemistOBE · 03/01/2015 17:07

I'm stuck under the sleeping1yr old and 5 yo is fast asleep. Hubby has gone for a drink with his friend. Perfect chance to watch OG but I can't move to get the darned dvd! Searching you tube on TV to watch some

I am a big fan of hand creams as it happens, just not cheap and nasty ones from Morrison's! I am a big gardener in my spare time and despite wearing gloves most of the time, my hands are always in a bit of a mess so I can generally guarantee to get hand lotions and potions for birthdays and Christmas presents. I've been halfway up the apple tree this afternoon pruning it! Haven't been able to do much in the garden all through the autumn because of my shoulder but it looks now as if the surgeon has done a pretty good job!

I guess the author of Acceptance must have lurked on here (unless it's one of you and you've not declared yourself) to know we've mentioned her in despatches. I'm obviously not quite with it today otherwise I would have realised that before I posted my previous comment. I'm beginning to think we don't need TG any more - there is so much good stuff out there!

PassTheCremeEggs · 03/01/2015 17:56

I'm still lurking! Love reading the thread but can't keep up to keep posting. We've just moved house for the sixth time in three years so it's busy here - this is the reality of being married to the Army...! I've come back to the FF in a big way - there's some really good stuff on there now.

Nickel45 · 03/01/2015 18:01

Good to have you back cremeeggs (might gonna have to call you eggy) and know you're still with us :) I wonder how many others are out there still reading this ... Particularly as we have strayed away from just specifically discussing OG and CJ ... Although seems we all agree that we haven't found anyone else that quite matches up to CJ!

Oneforthegirls · 03/01/2015 18:09

So I am ready to declare myself. I am the author of Acceptance and have been lurking since volume 3 or 4. It was just after the end of episode 5 and I was totally gripped by the programme frantically searching the Internet for any info on CJ when I discovered you mad bunch.
I had so much fun reading your posts. I can't tell you how many times I had to wipe my lunch splutters from my VDU I laughed so much.
I have never joined a thread before and haven't written a story since O Level English more than 25 years ago.
Your comments made my day.
I hadn't heard of FF until you mentioned it ages ago. I remember a few of you saying how much rubbish was on there and that some of you were going to have a go so it was with a degree of trepidation that I uploaded the first chapter. I was scared that you would think it was rubbish too!

icemistOBE · 03/01/2015 18:21

Hi oneforthegirls
Glad you have de lurked. And thank you for your ff it's brill! Glad we inspired you.

Can't believe we have so many talented writers here Smile

Hi oneforthegirls, so pleased you've outed yourself!! Your ff is brilliant, I don't know how you lot write so well, I'm ... Well I was going to say speechless, but you know what I mean! I'm in awe of people who can write as well as you can, and can keep CJ and MD alive in our hearts and minds

It's so lovely to hear that people are enjoying reading what we post on here too .... I do sometimes forget that anyone can read this, it just feels like a bunch of friends having a chat, and you probably aren't all at interested in my bedtime battles with my kids (which obviously you don't read this for!) but it's good to know that it doesn't put you off!!! Hopefully the images of naked fireside wresting or leather clad bodies (not forgetting MD for you SPO!!!) are making up for it!

PassTheCremeEggs · 03/01/2015 18:30

Oneforthegirls - I read yours today in the hairdresser and it's great! Took the opportunity of a long time sitting down with no children around to catch up - heaven.

Richtea19 · 03/01/2015 18:32

Welcome on board oneforthegirls, I am so impressed with your talent. In fact all the FF writers on this thread that have written and kept OG alive for us all. It still amazes me how many of us there are and yet I still struggle to find anyone in RL who has watched it. There loss :)

Like nickel said, to stick with this thread through our family lives, kids tantrums yet all revolving around our obsession with all things CJ OG is commitment. But this has now become part of my normal everyday life now.. You're not getting rid of me! I would like to change my name though! Ive dumped thr RichTea in favour of a healthier lifestyle...;)

cherin · 03/01/2015 18:37

I like bedtime battles, with kids and grown ups alike :-) we would not be here if we didn't have a series of daily battles to escape from, possibly :-)))
(Just glancing at DS2 trodding around with big screwdriver and scissors...uh-oh...)

Anyway
Am big fan of homemade things. I make my own sourdough bread, yogurt, sew my pillowcases and pj pants...and now have started concocting beauty products, based on thousands of recipes online. I have been making a lip balm which is super easy and super good (just coconut oil, beeswax, honey and vitamin e). Similar recipe gives lotion bars, which are like semi-solid bar of hand cream that you just warm up a bit before applying...happy to send link to recipes if anyone is interested! I swear it's super easy, and much healthier than many creams all based on paraffin and chemicals
(Sorry, did I say I was a earthmum already?? Hihihihihi, that's a kind of outing.)

Onlygirljen · 03/01/2015 18:43

Hi oneforthegirls! I outed myself not so long ago too, it's very friendly on here!

Well done on the ff, it's really good stuff!

Nickel45 · 03/01/2015 18:49

Ooh richtea, what would you change you name to? I had enough trouble thinking up a name in the first place!

I was thinking today (after getting out of breath walking up a hill .... it was a very long hill!) about doing looking into that couch to something someone mentioned before ... But I am definitely lazy and adverse to exercise! Who was doing it, and is it worth thinking about? I really must do something and my OG diet isn't working as I have no time during the day at the moment to sit still and watch rather than eat!!

cherin that lip balm sounds brill, but where do you buy ingredients from? Me and the kids get vey dry lips and I don't really like the chemically stuff for them particularly. I'd love to give making it a go ... Or maybe you should offer mail order (or male order ... No, hang on, I was back to thinking about CJ again ?...Grin)

Oneforthegirls · 03/01/2015 18:49

Thanks ladies
I'm still having bed time battles and my DD is 13. She thinks it is ok to go to bed at midnight on a school day and not get up the following morning. Monday should be fun!
As I said in my latest chapter, work is going to be pretty frantic for a while so posting on here and updating the FF may be tough.

I cannot believe how the whole CJ thing has gripped me, it has become a bit of an obsession and starting the FF has put paid to any thought of decompression.

My fav FF's are another time another place, five years on and of course Involved by the Queen of Quality Smut. Not forgetting Klipdoctor too. I have wondered for a while if he is really SPO?

Nickel45 · 03/01/2015 18:54

We had the same thought onefor (sorry, gotta shorten your name!) and we asked SPO, didn't we hardcore girls? He said not. Nor is he TG apparently. Although he never answered whether he was BA (I can imagine you laughing at your screen SPO ... How are you going to communicate with us now that zombies has finished?!).

Rhubarb01 · 03/01/2015 18:54

Well it looks like its the day for confessionals here. Welcome oneforthegirls and nice work.

I have to make a confession myself now as I am the writer of "Another Time Another Place." which is the main reason I have periods of days when I disappear and don't post on here.

It all started with the first paragraph of the fan fiction on here and there you go. I didn't say anything about it because to be honest I didn't think any of you really liked it - that said I still know its not everyone's cup of tea and a bit AU and I didn't expect it to be universally liked so I accept that some people don't.

I knew that onlygirl, pixie and ThreadNneedle had read it and thanks for your comments but I was intending to keep it zipped (probably should have!). Thanks for the kind words on here. As has been said before it does encourage you to keep going particularly as I am currently wrestling with something that twenty first century Molly would say is doing her 'nut' in. All will be revealed.

Any more writers out there feel free to declare yourselves!

PassTheCremeEggs · 03/01/2015 18:58

Rhubarb that's incredible - I LOVE your story. It's a brilliant take on the original story - you're so talented!

It's so awesome that all the best stories on FF are written by you guys!

Nickel45 · 03/01/2015 19:02

Wow rhubarb!!!!!!! This truly is a day for confessions (I don't have any!)

It's a brilliant story .... To be completely honest, it took me till the second chapter to get into it properly but it's mint! And Perhaps was one of my favourites right from the get go! Wow you lot are f*ing awesome!

Probably shouldn't post this now but .....
Seeing as you are all such hot writers, which of you us going to finish off the story "we" (used in the loosest possible way!!) were writing?!!!!! Does someone have the link to the chapters we've already done, I thinks was just smurfs pov left to do? Maybe we could do a collaboration like before, each contributing a paragraph?

threadNneedle · 03/01/2015 19:03

Sat here with a big smile at all the revelations. Thanks to anyone who is writing and keeping OG alive for us. Definitely no sign of decompression here although a week in Cyprus sounds like heaven at the moment.

moojangles · 03/01/2015 19:09

Welcome onefor and Rhubarb, wow!! All my fave ff authors are on here- you are all brilliant. Extra fond of Rhubarb for using RAFGrin

Onlygirljen · 03/01/2015 19:11

rhubarb!!! I absolutely LOVE another time, another place, as I said a couple of days ago - makes my day when I see it has been updated! It is an absolute delight to read - well done! So talented!!

Jeez, plenty of confessions today!

cherin · 03/01/2015 19:11

Oh well, I must then confess I also tried one little chapter on ff, but it was ages ago and now that I read it again I feel fairly ashamed of it...but as it's confession night, it's called Meet the jameses. And it's supposed to make you laugh (I pre-empt the laughing ;-)

Gosh this kiddo is only 3 but is really good with a screwdriver, he almost dismantled a toilet cistern!
(Thanks god it's heavy and can't lift it!! But I can't avert my eyes for more than 2"!!)

I still have to start reading the Another time but I read most of the others and loved all of them!! Flowers

orphan · 03/01/2015 19:14

Oh this is so wonderful - all the writers coming out!

oneforthegirls I've just started reading yours and it's great. Love the way you've got into Molly's head! ( And avoided the cod cockney!) Thank you for breaking cover.

rhubarb I am in awe. I am sooo enjoying your story. The details and way you have re imagined the story are amazing. I hadn't read it until onlygirl recommended it as I think I'd got it confused with another ff mentioned ages ago that wasn't very good. From the very first chapter I was gripped. Are you really saying it was this thread that prompted you to write?! How do you get all your info? It all seems so realistic and grounded in the period. Sorry, think I may have to go and lie down to process this revelation...Smile

Richtea19 · 03/01/2015 19:17

Rhubarb, fantastic!!! I love it, Soany talented writers! I'm mobile at the moment on my way to sisters party. But cherin I will be reading yours later, and I know it will be brilliant, as you are ! X

orphan · 03/01/2015 19:19

It's silly but I feel as I've almost rubbed shoulders with authors having read and admired these ffs, then the writers declaring themselves on here.

Oh, spo it would just be the icing on the cake if you revealed you were BA!!!Grin
